Hey, something very strange happened to me... Before Steam was down I could normally trade with others, but after it recovered this popped up:
"You have logged in from a new device. In order to protect the items in your inventory, you will be unable to trade from this device for 15 days."
Should I worry about my account or is it just a glitch or something?I didn't log in on any other device D:

I talk from my total ignorance, but changing your password and maybe your email password too wouldn't hurt.

I would worry and maybe ask support for a login history for your account.

Change your password too and maybe enable steamguard. If it already is, change your email password.

Seems to be related to maintenance. I can't buy on Market, but selling is still open. Also, play times are messed up.

Oh, I am a trader and I don't want to wait 2 weeks... Should I open a ticket to support?

Just wait. Funny thing about Market is that it blocks both buying and selling under normal circumstances. At this point, I can still put my items up for sale, just can't buy anything. So, not normal, and likely to be temporary.

Besides, if you are effected by this, chances are others you would want to trade with are as well. Make sense?

Nope, the people I want to trade with can and weren't affected by this, I hope they fix it, waiting 2 weeks for trading is like forever D:

Well, my '2 weeks' without market has already ended, so I'm sure your problem will be as well.

Aw crap. Same thing has just happened to me.

Apparently I'll be off the market "grid" until mid-September.

Haven't logged in from any new devices either...

Boooo!

Did Steam somehow get its cookies deleted (the digital kind)?

I'm using Firefox, and since successfully listing a couple of items I haven't logged out. Something funky is afoot here...

Per the link above, it looks like a widespread problem...

He is a TF2 character after all, the answer should be obvious.

This TF2 update should shed some light on the issue, if it still remains a mystery. When making an official statement, Valve wrote this:
"Well, we don't want to upset you, so we won't type it here, but suffice it to say the band that wrote 'Safety Dance' has the most unthinkably offensive name we've ever heard."
