This is how it's been going over last 3-4 months (when it works). Can't really change ISP because (like mine) they all offer wireless connection.
nominal would be 7mbps down / 512kbps up, normal ping 30-50ms

I used to play Path of Exile but, with that ping and frequent disconnections, it's hard to make progresses and do harder content. That, combined with the lack of time, is almost making me quit the game.

After thinking a bit I recognized that 50GB a month is not much and I checked how much we have. Last month we had 460 GB traffic. How do you life with 50GB?? ๐

I don't. After using 50GB halfway through the month, I get throttled to 256 kpbs. And I have to a buy "booster" which cost a dollar to get an additional 5GB to my plan. It's a scam but I got no choice since I live in a semi-urban area. I'm hoping that by this year, the better ISP would extend their services to my area. :D

The ping shown in the speedtest is measured by picking a nearest server from your location. So never expect you get 7ms ping playing multiplayer online. Ofcourse you might as well get it if the game server happen to be located near you. Other than that, i am happy for you. Enjoy your new connection and thanks for the gib.

It depends a whole lot on your routing. I can get sub 10 ping to a server that is 400km away and most of the time have better ping to a server about 1000km away than someone that is only 200km away. But yea most of the time you wont get this lucky.

I used to get near 2 Mbps on a good day, and only <1Mbps most of the time ๐ข
Then the abysmal telecoms wholesaler finally upgraded us to fibre and now I get 40Mbps ๐, not as fast as some people get but I'm more than happy with it! ๐

I have 340 KB/sec DL
and that only after i made terror with my ISP and said them where they can lick me -yes i was very direct...and pissed off at the phone (i had 2 years problems with them...)-, before that i had 250 KB/sec.. with luck and often only 160 KB/sec.
And that in GERMANY steam friends from Algeria have more then i...... grrrrrrrrrrr

So today we got a new Internet connection and it is just so much faster than the old one. Here in Germany we still have ridiculously slow Internet especially in the rural areas so the new connection is actually pretty good in comparison to the rest.
