I am very curious how this will end up I'm guessing terrible disaster
I really like the idea of achievements on SG though! So I hope this works out! It would be even more amazing if a coder would help you actually make that script!
EDIT: SO MANY CHEEVOS!

From the Guide:
When you earn an achievement, you earn the corresponding title. You may then add it to the “Favorite Earned Title” section of your column. Which title you use is up to you as long as you earned it, and you are free to change it whenever you want. It’s a bragging right.
Example: All participants immediately earn the first achievement, “Getting Started”. This is now a title you may use. Double click the “Favorite Earned Title” section of your column and paste or type the title.
So basically, after you insert a title, you earn this achievement.

Question: so if you giveaway legandary skyrim, you also unlock the achievement for winning skyrim?

Did you mean "if you win Legendary Skyrim"? Then yes, because Legendary "contains" Skyrim.

I indeed meant Legandary Giveaway, which you earn for giving Legandary Skyrim.

Ah, I see, I made a mistake while copy pasta'ing. Fixed now, thanks for the heads up!
Also, this comment has earned you the "Supporter" achievement. Let me know when/if you're "registered" to the spreadsheet and I'll add it under your column.

Hey, if you're skilled enough at that stuff and willing, let me know and I'll give you full access. I'll even add a special "Premium Supporter" achievement for you. :P

It would probably look something like this. Just an incomplete mockup with some random numbers... the column with the numbers needed to trigger is hidden btw, and I'm not sure if just putting the numbers there in the middle of the cheevos is a good place.
And I'm not sure if this should REPLACE manually marking boxes or if it would be just a nice this to make it easier if people want it, i.e. make it overwriteable

Also, the range with count-triggered formulas could be protected, and a data validation could be added to the other fields (positive numbers only for wins/gifts/posts/comments counters, "x" only for manual achievements)
On a different note, supporters/collabs could have their own column protected for only them (and jbond) to edit

No barbie achievement? D:
Also getting all that negative rep is kinda crazy. lol

This shall be added.

Nice. :D
Want me to add this to OP for visibility?

Yeah, that's one of the cons. I'm considering removing the "negative" achievements completely.

There should be some achievements for puzzles, using sgtools and for making and using add ons.
I suck with names but Designer might be good for making an add on or skin.
Edit: also maybe some for contributing to big threads such as you're not alone, positive thread, love thread, orphan keys and selfie thread. Or witnessing some of the big drama threads, but those would be more like legacy achievements.

DISCONTINUED
Update
This thread is no longer relevant as the spreadsheet is no longer publicly accessible after some people messed it up.
The project is still live however, and I will create a recruitment thread to invite interested users to a private group, where the new spreadsheet has been implemented. I have already invited the fifty-something users who where in the original spreadsheet. If you were in the "test run" and haven't received an invite to the group, please let me know and I will send you an invite. If you aren't a total stranger to me, you may also ask for an invite in the comments and I will invite you (providing you aren't a complete stranger who is barely active on Steamgifts. Just a precaution to ensure I don't invite the wrong people here).
As I said though, there WILL be a recruitment thread. Just not right now, as I am too tired to deal with invites at the moment. (since this morning, I spent something like five hours on this achievement thing non-stop. A guy deserves a break, no?) :P
The "official" recruitment thread will probably be live tomorrow.

Hello Steamgifts, I would like to introduce you to one of the silliest, pointless thing I may have done so far.
We all love achievements, right? We hunt, claim and hoard them, even though they rarely are ever rewarding (unless if you consider e-peen size a reward). And to be honest, although I am not an achievements hunter, I have always wanted achievements on Steamgifts. And so, without further delay, I present you...

Steamgifts Achievements - A Spreadsheet Experiment
Steamgifts Achievements is a project I have been considering for a while. Not having any coding knowledge to actually create an achievements userscript, I have been working on a second best idea. A spreadsheet where users are free to edit themselves and participate in an achievements hunt based around Steamgifts in general.
Now, I know what you’re thinking.“But jbond, you’re just going to leave a spreadsheet open to editing for all forum users to mess around? That CAN’T possibly be a good idea.” And you are perfectly correct. It’s a terrible idea, but one I am willing to experiment with. I’ll see how this goes. If it goes to shit, I’ll just dump the entire thing. Or find an alternate solution.
In the meantime, feel free to post suggestions and ideas. I need a crapload more achievements, as the spreadsheet barely skims the surface of what is possible to turn into achievements. So go wild, send suggestions and ideas my way, and I’ll catch up when and if I can. Or not. I don’t really know yet.

Introductory FAQ
What the fuck is this?
Basically, a spreadsheet open to editing to anyone who can read this thread. Inside it, achievements are listed. Keep track of what you do on Steamgifts and add a checkmark to achievements as you earn them. It's really simple, there's nothing more to it.
How the fuck does this work?
Read the FAQ & Guide below. It's very simple.
Why the fuck would I participate?
There is absolutely no reason to do so. There are no giveaways (yet) and no prizes or rewards. This is as pointless as Steam achievements.
This seems like a terrible idea, really.
That's not a fucking question. But I'll allow it, and confirm - yes, this is a terrible idea. There is a massive chance of some users completely fucking up the spreadsheet. Hence why this is titled "A Spreadsheet Experiment". I ask all of you who will participate to follow the rules and common sense.
