Its way different, lottery and bets you spend not expecting to win, or knowing that the rates of winning are too low.
Here i expected the game :/

someone has to go first sometimes so if nobody did it would be a stale mate

trading is a risk no matter how much security they add, when trading no matter what do not trade for something your not willing to risk.

Why comment on here just to ask why they went first, how do you know they even went first,as you can still get scammed even if you do not go first as the person your trading with could being giving you an item that was gotten illegal in that case it would not matter who went first

He said he wanted game,so he went first with item probably,im aksing because,he is lv 75 on steam and went first to lv 10,so you could tell now lv doesnt matter, well in some cases it could matter, people with higher lv will not risk their account, because they invested a lot more money and time in making their account . Btw i made same mistake as him,i went first with game,i was lv 41 and scammer was lv 20. I just asked if he went first, why he did that if he is lv 75.

i got scammed even know i was careful and thought i had everything covered but i was still new to trading and did give a thought people spoofing other peoples accounts and what not,i lost 12 bucks.

After that i learned a lot more and now i never go first and i rarely do anything outside of steam trade window now.

I think most people do not like to talk about being scammed which i do not blame them as to many people are to quick to laugh at you and call you an idiot and so forth or they post random pointless crap,so it just a waste of time to even say anything as the internet seems to be full of perfect people that have never made a mistake

And yeah calling out could possibly get you banned as sometimes there is a chance that person you think scammed you really is not the one that did,not saying this is your case.

Think of it as a lesson that cost you a couple dollars i am sure you have throwing money away on stuff before and will not be your last time

Sorry to hear that. Usually you just take it to steam support and hope for the best.

maybe writing to support would give that user a nice trade probation flag or trade banned. even if you don't get your item back, it's nice to see him/her marked.
