I'm not sure if I have already used the game code that I have in my mail box... Does the steamgifts alerts me if it's something with a invalid code or used one?
The point is that I already have in my steam Library and the purchase was from Humble Bundle, there are 2 ways to get the key code, "Redeem on Steam" or "Gift to a friend"... There are almost no difference using one of them to get the code, but when I open to "Redeem on steam", show up some message saying that I have the game and if I choose this option I can't send it anymore as a gift and gives me the key code.... Since my Humble Bundle are linked with my steam account and the library, I'm afraid of the codes stop working or becames a invalid code...
I just want to get the code and post on the gift room... That way, I don't need to send it from e-mail for browser link address to the winner.

How confusing... >.<"

There's no way to know if the key is used or not, except for using it in steam, and getting the error: Duplicate key.
And by doing so, if it was working, it'll then be used.

Sorry for the addition which I write two years after your message, but such method is also not a big help. I mean the following: if you are trying to activate an inactive (or expired) key from a game that you already have in Steam, the system will tell you only that you already have such a game, but there will not be a message that this key have already been activated by someone else. I came across such a case recently in practice, alas.

I know it's not a big help, but I don't work at Valve. :)

Check your profile if you activated the key, look here: https://store.steampowered.com/account/licenses/

That doesn't really happen. Just make the giveaways and create and deliver the giftlink once it is done.

I've had giftlinks show up as used when created in advance, a security flaw in the system most likely. But never with keys.
