Nice deal.
Does anyone know what the story is with these Baldur's Gate?
Do they work with mods? Do they work with Windows 7 x64?

most GOG games are optimized for modern systems. the game page specifies which operating systems it is guaranteed to work on without hassle.

What do the symbols mean under the bonus content? For Planescape Torment it says you get "Chris Avellone and Colin McComb book", I'm guessing that's a digital copy?

Yes, it's a digital version. The symbols depend on the type of bonus that the 'bonus content' offers. Since the book is already used for manuals, they use ribbons for other types of books or other random bonus content that is not necessarily pictures, wallpapers, soundtracks or manuals.

GOG has awesome deals quite often, this is one of their best so far.

GOG rarely has awesome deals, IMO, when compared to other stores. This is one of the best so far. GamersGate just had 66% off D&D stuff recently, and it had even better in the 2011 year end sale.

Yeah, back when Bioware was good. Definitely good games and pretty good prices, but Steam has me so spoiled it's still not instant buys. Actually a big reason is I don't like the idea of having to use multiple platforms, I'd probably be all over this if it was integrated in Steam.

Also these games are pretty old, I feel they shouldn't cost as much as they do (a lot of games getting that old are becoming freeware now). I mean, great games and all just really conflicted feelings.

That's a very tempting deal, but I'd be buying them to have a digital version and since I likely won't play that any more than I play the disc versions I will resist the temptation.

If I had the extra money I'd get Neverwinter just to have a digital copy of it since my disc isn't always reliable on new systems. As it is, BG 1&2 does definitely seem like a good deal.

I don't consider that such a great offer as it seems. If you look at this you can get 6 of those games for 20$. And this is at full price.

It was reduced to 10$ at one point but I missed it. I am waiting again for it go at 50% off. That's if you want all or most of those games. If you want just 2 + ToEE then your best choice seems to be GOG.

Yeah, money-wise, it's true that the collection at Gamersgate is a better choice. But GOG offers more contents like soundtrack, artworks, etc.

I would buy it in a heartbeat if I was still in school and had all that free time to play Baldur's Gate again.

All ready own them all, got them at the last DnD sale. Oh well, guess I'll have to wait longer for a Fallout sale.

These are also the best RPGs out there, so don't worry about spending your money.

I'd buy any of those games again if i didnt have the original retail box :D.

Those, next to Fallout (and 2), Gabriel Knight 3 and Vampire Redemption were the games that made me happy for so long :D, i suggest anyone who haven't played those games to get at least one.

Really not a good deal. If you don't own any, you're better off with the collection. If you do own like half of em it's an okay deal. Wish they'd have another bonus lined up for people that owned ToEE already too.

Best value is probably getting the lesser known games (dragonshard and Demon Stone) since you're unlikely to find those anywhere but GoG.

TO LIFE THREAD!
Turns out this sale might relate to Baldurs Gate, get this, coming to Steam.

So if you're one of those strange creatures that refuse to buy off GOG and all it's DRM-free goodness, you now have no excuse to buy the best RPG ever made.

at this point since most of my $ would go to the publishers or IP owners, i'd rather spend it on current developers of things i like now.

but thanks tough
