I really wanted to get Dying Light, and a lot of traders were saying the RU/CID versions are fine for all countries. I ended up getting it, but I cannot activate it in my region (AUS). It is currently sitting in my inventory. I was considering a VPN activation, because people say that purchasing from another country through their storefront is illegal and against their SSA, but this is different, I did not buy it from a russian store.
What risk am I running of a ban.. I don't really want to risk my account for one game.

Using a vpn for purchasing or activating makes no difference, you risk a ban either way.

Technically, if you dig deep enough hole (and get long enough ethernet cable) you can get beyond your country jurisdiction. THEY WON"T BE ABLE TO PROVE ANYTHING!!!

well, make second account and activate there, so you do not risk your primary one.

for creation of secondary account use the vpn.
