I'm currently playing Trine and I'm having a blast, I really didn't expect the game to be that good. For a long time I though the game is about controlling 3 characters at the same time which really turned me away from it, but once I found out you control only 1 character and can shift to other 2 whenever you want, the game suddenly became much more appealing.

So, I'd like you to recommend me more platform games (side-scrolling like Trine) other than Trine 2, obviously.

Some other platform games that I like:

Super Meat Boy - Very fun, but I want something less rage inducing.
Rochard - Recently finished this and immensely enjoyed it.
Crash Bandicoot 3 - The best platform game on PS1, had to mention it.
Captain Claw - Perhaps the best '90s platform game for PC, I reckon many members here are too young to have played it.
Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee and Exoddus - Another one from my childhood, quite challenging.
Shank 1 and 2 - More action oriented, still extremely fun.
Mark Of The Ninja - Basically stealth Shank.

I currently have Cave Story, Deadlight and Super House Of Dead Ninjas on my wishlist, haven't played those yet.

So, other recommendations?

Cheers.

Edit:

Of all the recommended games in this topic, so far I like Capsized and Blocks That Matter. Snapshot looks fun, but unfortunately there's no demo on Steam.

Recommended games that I've already played and liked include:

VVVVVV
Bionic Commando: Rearmed
Limbo
Jazz Jackrabbit

Recommended games that I've already played and disliked include:

Braid
Dustforce
Bit.Trip Runner
Rayman Origins

Thomas Was Alone is absolutely wonderful, but not if you need a challenge. It has fun platforming ideas and super-effective story-telling - better than Bastion, but not as good as the Telltale Walking Dead series.

I watched some gameplay on YouTube and it doesn't look very appealing to me.

I know you're not into Rayman Origins, but it's really probably the best platformer you haven't played. Maybe you need some more time with it?

I have played it, although not much and on PS3. Maybe I give it another try someday, but for now I think there are better platformers out there for me. :)

Like I said, I don't buy games with GFWL. Voting with my wallet and all that.

You should try Fly'n, its the most beutifull thing, as the game goes you can control four characters each one of them have a special hability that need to know how to use properly so you can pass at certain levels, and this make the game so interesting to me cause it changes the gameplay so deeply that you never get tired of it. Im sure you'll love it, just play it and tell me what you think later.

Screenshots look nice. I'll download the demo, thanks for suggestion. :) Someone already suggested it earlier but I somehow missed it.

Another bump. I'm sure there are more excellent platform games out there. Just please try not to repeat what has already been suggested. :)

I didn't like Giana Sisters when I first saw it, but upon further inspection I definitely like it. Luckily, there is demo and I'm downloading it as we speak. :)

Am I not allowed to have my own taste and opinion? Besides, even if I liked it, I wouldn't give money to Ubisoft.
