Isn't this against the rules? If not you're really standing in the middle of the border.

Following https://www.steamgifts.com/go/comment/TmC9Da7 and seeing who is suspended, I think we should not try to find the thread and discuss it. If we do it might escalate again quickly :/

I got no idea. As far as I know because of a misleading thread.

they paid google adsense for advertising their shit and people said they are scammers? considering there isn't a feedback option for true advertisements i'm gonna assume u mean they spammed this site that does not accept advertisements of that type and that is the type of feedback you are talking about.
spam =/= advertising

Well, it seems that this site does provide a reliable way to exchange cheap cards for CS:GO keys, a feature that I haven't yet seen anywhere else (at reasonable exchange rates). So I'm going to give that a try, since I need to get rid of a bunch.
As for the other way around, it's definitely cheaper to collect the cards on the market yourself and/or trade surplus ones.

Decided to do a little market comparison:
Current value of 1000 gems = $0.86
Sample Deposit Card - George Washington (Civilization V)
Current moving market value = $0.08 / $0.06 after fees
Current steamlevelup deposit value = 48 gems = $0.04
Utterly worthless. Anybody using this site for more than milking the daily free spin is a fool.

Currently the site is offering me ~40 gems for cards that are worth $0.04 / $0.02 after fees, which I see as quite reasonable.
Of course, once they go a few cents higher, I'm sure its no longer worth it - I'd rather sell those on the market.
I'm going to scan my remaining inventory and return with a detailed answer once I've got some results.

I'll jot down a list and post it a bit later when I've gone through my stuff :)
What the site doesn't tell you, though, is that the cards might be overstocked, and those that are overpriced will probably stock up quickly. It might become a hassle having to repeat trades if they don't have frequent buyers for those.

Here are a few. Upon closer inspection, most of the $0.04 / $0.02 go for only 32 gems, which is still nice, but you'll have to be lucky to own the correct ones I guess. When reaching higher values, the gem value doesn't really follow through. So for anything above $0.05 / $0.03 you'll probably be better off selling to market.

Some of them also go for 24 gems which is still roughly equivalent of market value (as you calculated) and you save time having to wait for the cards to sell on market.
The site does warn you of overstocking - it only shows cards that aren't overstocked at the time you load your inventory.
EDIT: Many of the $0.05 / $0.03 seem to go for 40 gems, which is also better and faster than market value
