I started a while back buying the indie bundles that became available. My thoughts and feelings were that instead of spending $70 for a new title I would buy from indie developers. That $70 would in essence get 7 game bundles. Then I started purchasing games directly from steam.

I have over 100 games now and for some strange reason feel hard to stop buying up more bundles and sales. When will that magic number hit where that's my last game for a few years.

Where your cut off point? When will you stop collecting? Or will you? I don't know if I can now.

I got I think 2? There have been some pretty good ones. The one with Bastion and Amnesia and Limbo, and some other stuff was outstanding.

It really depends on how interested in the games I am. If a game I want pops up in an indie bundle I almost always buy it, because there'll never be a better deal. But I've reached a saturation point with other random indie games where I've got so many that I haven't played yet I won't buy an indie bundle just to check the games out unless there's something specific I want from it.

HiB V-instabuy. Others, not so much. I missed HiB 4 and below, IG 5 and below, and all of the Indie Music Bundles. I will buy the Indie Music Bundle III when it comes out if I have any of the games

Technically speaking, it's always better to think ahead and, if an offer is good enough and you want it, buy a game even if you don't have time for it in the moment because when you DO have time for it, that offer might be long gone. However, that is a double edged sword, since having too many games suddenly might make you rush trough them trying to play them all and ruin your experience or get you addicted to games(Which most of us probably are already. :D).

And then your backlog is bloated.

Depends how long your back log becomes (because then its just hoarding), and if buying games starts affecting you financially (that's a problem). Just try not to go overboard and don't become addicting to buying games on sales.
