PC and Xbox for me because the Xbox has a bigger community and you could socialize more and it is more harder and competitive. i have all the systems

I have a xbox and I use pc mostly. I really hate it that you have to pay for gold. Stopped using it.

pc and ps3. used to have a 360, but I didn't play much because of the paying for gold.
Pc is my first choice, but the ps3 has great exclusives imo.

And I will NEVER! own a console. Always a PC user.

Same. I've always been a PC user as well, and I'm not considering buying a console at all... I mean.. There's no Steam on consoles...

Portal 2 uses Steamworks on the PS3.

Also I'm PC all the way. With a little bit of PS3... not really though.

Same - though I did have an n64 when I was younger. Simply no need for the actual consoles - if I feel like playing a console game, I can just use an emulator. The only systems I haven't seen that you can run via PC are x360 and ps3, and honestly I have no interest in any of their current gen games.

Same opinion here. Darn i wish they'd stop making games for consoles and started making all games to PC again, mods brings the games to life again when you get bored of them

I onlu use xbox occasionally to play battlefield 1943, but not as much because microsoft are ridiculously extortionate, £40 per year, where you can have the same, if not better, service on the PC for free.

PC and PS3. PS3 only for the exclusives and console only games (red dead redemption, uncharted, dark souls)

Competitive? isn't the niche of consoles the plug-in-and-play crowd?

PC and Wii for me, tempted by PS3 but it's not that high of a priority.

If you're thinking about getting a PS3 you should just wait because the Xbox 360 and PS3 are in their final year. If I were you I would just save my money for the PS4 or whatever it will be called, and the PS3 games will most likely be backwards compatible.

Even if the next console is announced this year, which is all rumour so far (I'm pretty sure at least one company has even gone on record to say there won't be), I'd say one of the current generation is still worth getting.

I think speculation is 2014 for the earliest new gen consoles. Which is about right. The new Unrealed is being released later this year so that gives about a 1-2 year production period for day 1 releases.

e: obv there are other engines, just happens to be one of the better known ones I know that are releasing their new gen editors this year.

PC, the only thing I play on Xbox 360 is Shmups like Mushihimesama Futari or DoDonPachi resurrection.

PC is the first choice, followed by PS3.

Morbidly inexpensive steam sales make me prefer the PC, as well as the superior graphics on more up-to-date systems.

PS3 at second place because free internets.

PC
I've yet to see a console exclusive that interests me enough to justify buying a console*, but there are PC exclusives I like.

*Remember, the price I pay for my first console game will include the price of the console to play it on. That's a serious hurdle. But, once I own the console, the second game only needs to justify its own retail price.

PC (thanks to Steam and emulators of older consoles, and DOS games which are pretty factor to me) + PS3. Though all my friends have Xbox 360, i dunno why.

PC, PS3, and Wii.

Wii has the Nintendo exclusives (which I need to survive), PS3 has better exclusives than the 360, imo, and PC is the master race.

The dolphin emulator for gamecube added wii support a little while back - may be worth checking out if you don't mind spending an hour or two setting everything up for PC use. Then again, if you've already got the wii, you may as well use it :P

Yeah, I already have a Wii, and I don't feel like spending a few extra bucks for one of those bluetooth sensor bars (for the wii-mote to be played on PC).
