I'm pretty sure the Humble Bundle gets enough money for charity, themselves and the developers. The other bundles I'm not so sure.... IndieRoyale might make some profit too.

I think it might be bad because I no longer have a desire to purchase Indie games separately because they are being released inside these bundles at faster rates. Example: Cave Story, Release Date: Nov 22, 2011. That's too soon and it was $9.99 with a 10% discount upon release.

i very rarely play indies, if it weren't for the charity. i wouldn't bother

I would have never bought 90% of the indie games I own if it wasn't for the bundles. Now I end up buying almost every bundle just because they're cheap, even if I end up never playing most of the games.
As long as the devs aren't actually losing money on the bundle deals, I suspect it's very much a win/win situation. They can simply offer their game in a bundle once individual sales are starting to drop off and keep on making money.

Well, to be fair, Cave Story miiiiight be the odd man out, seeing as how it's basically just an "upgrade" that was sold, not the actual game. At least to me it kind of makes sense due to that, though it was still pretty surprising to see it in the HIB.

Sorry, but you are wrong. It is the actual game with a selectable improvements in graphics and sound if you choose to use that.
If you don't wanna pay something for the improvements and one of the best Indie Games out there, you can still fetch the free version.
I for myself found it worth to buy it a 4th Time.

If ppl dont buy a game, it goes to the bundle. Super meat boy probably had no sales lately for example, so they join the bundle for some additional money. Its just like steam- when game gets old and stop selling they release it with discount. Cave story is a mistery.

I think the only reason why Super Meat Boy hasn't been included in a HumbleBundle earlier is it wasn't mac compatible until very recently, and that's all, because I am pretty sure they got plenty of sales thanks to the awesome bundle they released on Steam a few weeks back for the game's first anniversary.

I like the bundles because indie games are a lot riskier than full price AAA titles.
Those titles are usually (USUALLY) guaranteed to be at least pretty good if you enjoy their genre/setting/etc, seeing as how they're multimillion dollar projects and all with huge staff. When they DO flop, it's major news.
Indie games range from amazing to absolutely terrible without too much indication which is which. So I like that it removes the element of risk somewhat.

Yeah no doubt. I find it hard to buy indie games for full price because lots of the games are somewhat mysterious. When they have bundles and sales, people like myself will be more inclined to buy it just to test it out, and if we like the game, we will follow that company more.

That's the downside of indie games. They don't have just one genre, they try new types of games and see if they're successful or not with them. This will always, at least in my opinion, give the benefit of doubt to most people. One example of a strange indie game is B.U.T.T.O.N for example.

Unbelievable... Only gamers will complain about getting good deals. Please no more bundles or at the very least space them apart... It's too much of a good deal and we don't like it. ::facepalm::
You don't have to buy any of these bundles. You know that right? The only ones that I've gotten are the one from Humble. The fact that these things exist isn't hurting anyone. People likely weren't to give most of these games a look but lump them together and they're attractive. Pay what you want. It's a good value. How out of your mind do you have to be to complain?

Strawman much?
I don't think anyone is complaining that they're not wasting enough money. At least, I didn't see anyone saying that.
However, when a bunch of other companies start trying to copy the pattern, it dilutes the market and it becomes hard to follow which is which and which ones are reliable and which aren't etc.

Let's see, we have:
The Humble bundle
The Indie gala Bundle
The Indie Royale Bundles and
The Little big bunch bundle
I'm getting more games than the rate I can play them. I'm not saying this is bad but it's incredible how many bundles are getting released. Are they really gaining so much positive income from these bundles that others decided to do it as well? What do you guys think?
