everything will work perfectly and will be up to date in cracked games too and there is no virus or malware in known cracker groups and i dont have to be worry to get caught like i said there is no law against it here.what about single player games?

"i cant buy games from steam nor anywhere else"
"well i am only using the games that i bought"

Everything will work perfectly is not true.If a game is full of bugs and glitches, its on steam and the cracked version. When the patch is released you can also aply it to the cracked one.BTW you shoud buy games because its cool having a collection in your library.

everything will work perfectly
You know, other than games with always online DRM and the license server goes down.
Comment has been collapsed.
work perfectly i would not say that there have been a few games that worked better with a crack then with out
but that was due to the poor copy protection
none the less if he has no real means to buy it and it cost a lot more to convert maybe he should not be playing games
but how many people here that are say in the U.S. have to pay 100 dollars a game how many would just stop playing all together and do not tell me that all would some would pirate some games and some would buy the games they really wanted
i try buy most my games but due to my poor internet i pass on a lot games because of the online factor that is why i do not do the likes of CS-GO because of my poor internet because i have Satellite but i am still able to play some just fine like PAYDAY and Gary's Mod and do some Borderlands but a lot games i can not due to ping
but i wish more games had demos i know a lot people do not use them and that is the biggest reason but it would be nice to be able to play games before i bought them as some games i pass on simply because i have no way of trying them without pirating them and the game looks interesting but might look so fun but sometimes they are but without trying them i will only but them on a huge sale for the risk
anyhow this person can decide for himself what is worth it and what is not but you will feel better buying the games
they may cost a lot so maybe only buy the ones you really want and if you can get the pirated ones for cheap and they are steam buy them and then get the key then you can use the disk to install it and the key to activate it
most groups release the game with all original files and the crack in a different folder this way you will not use up a lot of internet still get to play the game feel good about supporting it and maybe playing online
in the end only you can decide what is right but just because you can not buy something in your country does not give you the right to steal it as they say if you cant not pay you should not play
i can not afford to go to movies all the time but i do not sneak in either

As someone who used cracked/torrented games - your argument is invalid. Game cracking groups provide all the updates and patches with their uploads. The games are top notch quality. All you miss are online features, achievements and all this hip crap about which many people don't give a fuck.

sounds like it really scuks in your country, where are you from? Asides from that I see where you are getting from, I would say buy it only if you really want to support the developer as it seems to require you to go way out of your way in order to aquire game legally.

You do know that that's not their obligation, right?!

What a sad world we will live in once no one makes singleplayer games due to pirates and all we have left are shitty multiplayer games full of screaming 12 year olds...
Comment has been collapsed.
usually I love the 12 yo screamers they're just so dumb, annoying and pathetic and they dont realize it,it almost feels like they are alien, because when I were 12yo or even younger I never used to scream in games and whine about everything :O probably because the only game I used to play back then was counter strike 1.5 and 1.6

If the developers and publishers stop getting money, they stop making games. It's as simple as that. Buy games whenever you can, and when you can't, either don't play them or do the unspeakable and pirate them, that's pretty much what everybody does.
Also... ACHIEVEMENTS!!1

As Dooleh said, you support devs (and publishers) by buying their games. If you don't buy them, they stop creating them.
And, as Bugzkilla said, games won't always be up to date. I know a guy who has a pirated version of Skullgirls, and he can't find any updates after Squigly.
I personally think piracy isn't bad if you can't afford a game, as long as you end up buying it when you can.

Well you must pay becouse someone WORKED for your fun (except for bad rats, that's not for your fun)
So, you know, devs need to eat, drink, buy stuff just like everybody else does.
If your currency|banks|laws are underdeveloped is TOTALLY not devs fault, what they are supposed to do ?
If a game is worth 5 dollars and in your currency 5$ = 99999k, what devs are supposed to do ?

Your post means:
" I don't give a single F#*§ about devs, i'll steal anyway 'cause they are rich (???) and i'm a poor boy (???) and i'll be happy anyway 'cause i'm doing nothing wrong :) "

Think!!! If everyone got the same idea as you it will be the end of Video Games!!!! And wath about the movies???? It's the same fucking shiiiit!!!!!!!!!

What a disgustingly entitled thing to say...
It's people with that attitude that are causing the problems in the gaming industry right now... >_>
Your opinion is bad and you should feel bad.
If you can't afford to buy games, then you shouldn't play them. Go outside and play... (Don't give me that shit about "well my region can't buy games", because there are people in regions just like yours that find ways to BUY games... You're just a greedy little shit)

i dont want a cheap game i dont want a expensive game if they would have sell it with our currency it would have been good believe me it comes much more expensive when you cant buy something personally and someone else have to do it for you its comes a lot more expensive

Well, there's a law against sharing content (it means I can't use torrents to pirate) in my country but no one give a damn because government doesn't give a damn too. Practically I can pirate whatever I want but it's a true pleasure to own (rent thanks to Steam, ugh) something. Hunting for sales, trading games you don't want...
Comment has been collapsed.
If you like videogames you buy them, if they're not worth your money they're not worth your time either.
It's not a matter of law, everyone can understand that there's people that worked on videogames and they need to eat too.
Just...think like you're the game developer and someone steals your product.

The statement won't become true if you repeat it several times (though Goebbels said otherwise). What are the assumptions that lead you to this deduction? Or is it some sort of religious dogma that should never be questioned? Because you can justify anything by saying "that's how it works" - from slavery to genocide.

well you don't seem to have money troubles, so are you complaining for everyone else in your country who can't afford as much as you? you seem to be a trader and ur library isn't that bad. So if u have the financial standing cracks aren't very morally correct.

If you can't afford them, don't play games. Go waste your time elsewhere trying to make money and then come back to BUY games...

if i want to buy for example a 30 $ game it would be 500000 or 800000 or 900000 depend how i get it but if i wana get it cracked game on a disk it would be 10000 for each dvd5(not bluray)and it come a lot expensive if i wana download the game cause there is no unlimited internet :) you have to pay for each gb :))))so i still need to buy the cracked game on disk and use it to install my game on steam:)haha.and its not about money its about why should i buy it when there not selling it to me and there is no law against it.

The thing is, my country is the same as yours. There are hundreds, thousands even illegal retail store selling pirated games using burned DVDs. The government don't do shit about that, they just care about the motion pictures industry.
But what do I do? I buy the games on Steam and Origin, with US dollars currency (before the new Malaysian Ringgit currency kicks in for Steam), and it's really, REALLY expensive. But, I know, with that money, it strengthen the gaming industry.
Nobody ever say that gaming is a cheap ordeal or hobby. Same thing with collecting Star Wars figures or old stamps, it ain't cheap. But if you really do love doing it, and you call yourself a gamer/collector, you will buy it legally.
And they ARE selling it to you! To everyone on the whole wide world! Via internet!
Comment has been collapsed.
you say you can't buy games and then you ask why should you buy them, ým no understand
Comment has been collapsed.
Don't buy them if don't want to (or can't afford it). Why should we convince you to do otherwise?
But it's not like you must decide once and for all - to pirate or not to pirate - and always follow your way and argue with anyone who thinks different. Support good indie developers, don't support greedy publishers. Or the other way around. Your choice.

Same here dude .... except $1 here is worth 100 of our currency but still I only buy ones who have online support

Most of you are hypocrites. I bet 99% of you would pirate if you are in his situation. Steam has most retarded prices and currencies politics ever. They have regional restriction which is so fk dumb esp because they don't reduce prices for those regions. just wtf.

US companies (and anybody else wanting to do business in/with the US) are banned from doing business with Iran, North Korea, Cuba (and a couple others too). Hence Steam and game devs are unable to offer games in your country even if they wanted to.
OTOH (and this is to your critics) what's the impact if the entire nations of Iran, North Korea, Cuba stopped buying games? Nada, zilch, nil. These markets are not interesting for them today, they're not considered in their business plans.
So do whatever you like, but make sure of one thing: enjoy the games you're playing!

To play online with friends, multiplayer or coops.
There goes one reason.
Comment has been collapsed.
With Single player games, do whatever you want.
If you are running out of money, and you want a game so badly, then do it. But if you liked the game, or developers, i would suggest you to buy the game in the future, so you paid for what you got and also is a nice way to thank the developers.
They did an effort, and i think people should pay more for the effort than for a final good product.
I know this very well because i'm musician, and i know how frustrating is to make tons of (good, as people say) tracks and not getting all the money i would like for my effort. Developers, as same as me, they want to make a live from making what they love.
In my case, i prefer to buy the game previously, specially now that they are very cheap with Humble Bundles, and so on. I don't like pirate games just for the reason above.
Have a nice day :)

I prefer to pay for the final product and not struggling out how to make them work online or workarounds.
You buy the game = No problems = Direct play.

im in a country (doesnt matter where)which developers doesnt support us NO game release here i cant buy games from steam nor anywhere else(none of our banks are supported nor i can open a foreign account)and there is no punishment or law against using cracked games except for ourselves products(well they are not release here nor that we can buy from steam and ... so why should be any law against it?).BUT i can sort of get games from steam cause of steam gift by paying someone that have a foreign account that will buy it and gift it to me but it will come veryyyyy expensive as that guys is gonna buy with dollar which 1 dollar worth 30000 of my currency!!!!.or i can get them by trading with keys which come cheaper cause the guy that selling keys sell them somehow for each dollar around 20000 of my currency so someone plz explain to me why in hell should i buy games and dont use cracks?????
EDIT 1: the only fair reason that i saw so far in you mates :) comment is to support developers
EDIT 2: so this was kind of a pool too :) so far as the results show around 65 % of people buy games to support developers 25 % for benefits,in a desperate situation :) and 10 % of people doesnt give a flying fuck and just buy games just cause they can and no reason :D and the most important part and most interest for me 0 % of people for moral reasons lol haha not a single person answered me for moral standings reasons :)).and all of you have fun with your games!!:D
