Well, this isn't the right place for cracking, or at least for talking about it. I saw that you have created a giveaway for TWD S2. How could you do that when you can't buy games for yourself? In my opinion, you should play less games, but you should BUY them.

My opinion might not be the popular one, but here it is:
The reason for buying games legitly is to support the developers.
Now if they don't make the game available normally in your country, then they were not normally going to get your money anyways. To be honest? No one's harmed in this situation if you pirate - not even the developers since they were never trying to sell the game to you anyways. If anything they gain another fan that helps increase the game's community.
It would be a different thing altogether if the game is actually available in your country via proper channels, but as it stands I can't give you a reason to not crack (single player) games, really.

Because crackers are selfish idiots and don't understand how long it takes to make games.

I will just say it: stop spending money, go full torrent and buy something just if u wanna play the multiplayer...
Who gives a fuck anyway? I don't care, these people here really don't care neither.
Do as you want, that's it. Let's move on!
But, just as a sidenote maybe the problems than put you on this situation it's not Steam or developers/publishers fault. I can surely say it's not their fault when my government make me pay obnoxius prices because their idiotic taxes or throw at me a shitload of paperwork and formularies just because I'm spending U$S...
Comment has been collapsed.
There's an easy solution to that, just don't play their games. I rarely if ever, buy or play EA or Ubisoft games...

Its nice to support the developers, but I wouldn't feel bad about pirating games that I couldn't otherwise purchase. If they're not willing to take my money, why should I feel bad about it?
One big advantage of buying games vs. pirating them is a simple matter of reliability. A lot of times, pirated copies suffer from bugs or missing music/sound that the full versions don't have. Or, at least, that's the way it used to be. Once I got rid of dial-up internet, it simply because easier and cheap to actually buy games.

Sounds like you don't have much spending money, so if you decide to start using cracks, you might not be able to afford it after a while and move on to krokodil. Probably not a good idea.

Don't worry I was in the same boat before, eventually once a convenient legal means presents itself and you've got a proper job with a bit of spare cash you'll come around to doing things the right way, most of the time at least.
The very fact that you're asking here shows that you know that cracks aren't quite the right way of doing things and you'd prefer to be legit if you didn't have to bend over backwards to do so.
I've also always been of the opinion that if you can't get something legit/it's almost impossible to get something legit then no one is harmed if you simply "obtain" the game through other means. So for now just enjoy the games, if you can (since I know not everything out there can actually be cracked or has the latest updates available), and keep looking out for that opportunity to eventually do the right thing should it present itself.
Thanks to recently becoming able to purchase games on Steam and Steam specials I've actually started replacing some of my previously ill-gotten games with legit versions cuz it just feels better to do the right thing and I've also bought some games I'd originally intended to "obtain" down the line. But I'd never admonish someone who doesn't have legit access for simply getting games as I've done the same many a time for the same reasons.

I guess the advantage i get from my legal games vs. cracked games would be the legal one's ability to DL it anytime + updates without having to google where i got the game from since its legal. And supporting the devs is nice too. I guess they'd stop making games if everyone just thought "hey! i could just crack this and play without paying. yay for cracks!"
I'm not gonna convince you to switch up from cracks or "extended demos" cause i'm not gonna pretend i didn't try that before. Also, if you're gonna play your cracked games, you might wanna make sure steam isn't running. The cracked games tend to show on your profile's front page and idk what valve does about those kinds of things. Can't be too careful eh?

EDIT 2: so this was kind of a pool too :) so far as the results show around 65 % of people buy games to support developers 25 % for benefits,in a desperate situation :) and 10 % of people doesnt give a flying fuck and just buy games just cause they can and no reason :D and the most important part and most interest for me 0 % of people for moral reasons lol haha not a single person answered me for moral standings reasons :)).and all of you have fun with your games!!:D

I did it when I was poor and had no money, now well I have money and just buy the games because I can and why not? Unless I have some real horrible doubts about the game I will straight out buy it, if I do have horrible doubts then I will torrent it and play for a hour or two then just decide if I want it or not.

خوب نیستی اخوی.....
i live in the same country as this guy lives and the problem of this guy is that he wants to play any game available on steam, origin ,uplay etc.... and dont have money to pay for all of them ....
i dont want to come up with facts and/or reasons to buy a game and not to use cracked one ....... but what i said is the problem do you guys have enough money to buy all AAA ,AA,A all the way to Z games upon lunch or pre order it all of it????
do you??? idont think so..... and here is a fact that if you dont have money to buy it you dont play it pretty simple .....
you know in my country there is no word of copyright laws or something like that kids go to some places called cd shops/game shops etc ... shuffle from some disks on the table and pick one for something around 2-3 USD and there are any game on that table from call of duty to games like the bridge and many more ... they even dont know what is the real price or their pirating .....
so guess what they become older and suddenly find out what steam is what online gaming is what DRM is what copyright is what is the real price of something and they see themselves F*cked up ...... some of them keep the old fashioned(pirating) some of them(by today i can say lot of them) like me go for the right way (i mean buying games) and some of them like this guy looking for a reason to keep on pirating ......
i didnt read the comments ive just posted according to the topics main post.....
and for you to get some ideas about my country currency 1USD=3100T for example i got a gift of skyrim:LE for 35000T
a region 1 PS4 is about 140000T(maybe cheaper and i know it should be 1240000 but you must add shipping cost and seller profit too)
so be honest i cant get you accurate info about incomes but for example i (an 18 yr old college student) can make about 750000T as a sales person in a sport shop(imean a shop which sells sport clothing like warm up suits soccer cleats etc...) a for first month and it can go up to around 900000T and maybe over 100000T(depends on shop ihad friend who made around 1700000T a month in an adiddas shop )
there you go long post but the truce....

There can only be 1 and Only 1 Country in the World , Matching ur Criteria ! and That's Mine !
Yup Games are Super Expensive here , but i buy them , coz it's the right thing to do , cracking is like stealing ! it the dev's right to take money for what they made !
so if i don't pay them and Enjoy that game ! Then I shall BURN in hell !
yup ! that's my belief,
I don't really need another reason beside this , to buy a game ! except , if i like that game or not !
funny thing is the games i buy mostly ... are either single player , or i never play their multiplayer much ....
like Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition , didn't even play it's multi , 1 time !
Only game i played online was Age of Mythology and Civilization and CS GO , the rest are Free To play ( Dota 2 , League of Legends , ArcheAge ( well i paid for this one's Founder's ) ) or Elder Scroll Online !
anyway , nice English u got there :P rarely I see countrymates talking this good :P

Summary of start post: Why should I pay for food if I can steal it? Why there should be laws against it, if I want to eat?
You know, game developers want to eat too. And their children too.

well, i buy (but mostly on sale) games because:
can afford them
want to support developers
its easier and less stressful to buy than 'getting from alternate sources'
but reading your difficulties to get them legally and even if, for prices which are in relation extremly high - i would suggest:
check the net for free games
enter giveaways
get the rest 'from alternative sources'

Don't buy games. Get them for free. But don't pirate, and here's why. When you have to get the game, even for free, you have to do something. Be it just enter a giveaway, or whatever. When you pirate the game, you make no effort, and thus you appreciate the game much less. You'll try less to understand it and get into it, you'll be more prone to quit and remove it from your computer... But, when you bought it or made an effort to get it (do not scam people! that's bad, mkay!) you'll try more even if you don't like it at first, and might end up enjoying a game that you'd just skip otherwise. Also, you'll spend more game per title, and that will produce more enjoyable memories.

I buy only games i like during sales so i don't spend a lot of money but I also support those who allows me to have a good time.
If people in your country have all these troubles to play videogames, you should pirate them and protest against the publishers.
Comment has been collapsed.
I used to be a pirate like you, but then I took a credit card to the pocket.
Yeah, basically this. As soon as I got a way to buy games legally and for a reasonable price, I quit piracy and started buying games instead.
Also, when I informed myself of all the work that making a game implies I felt guilty for pirating their work. So I tend to relate piracy with not being mature enough to appriciate someone else work.

"im in a country (doesnt matter where)"
Bull, being in Iran is the exact reason you're in the situation in the first place.
Some Wiki links to give you the answer: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sanctions_against_Iran

Most importantly:

"In May 2013, U.S. President Barack Obama lifted a trade embargo of communications equipment and software to non-government Iranians."
Which implies you should be able to buy them now. (Valve is a US company)

we cant you think i would say we cant if we could?so im lying Here?as i said im getting the game by buying dota keys from someone that have foreign account and trade with games, and that was just a bullshit for the world and since then even before the only impact sanctions had was FOR the non-government Iranians and no impact on government and they dont care either cause there stealing billions and really doesnt really matter for them if a dollar that was 70 R now is 30000R all of the sanction are impacting normal people here if you wana know.

I didn't say you were lying. Your "it doesn't matter where [I live]" in fact does matter, and is the reason you can't buy easily directly from Steam.

"We think there is a fundamental misconception about piracy. Piracy is almost always a service problem and not a pricing problem. If a pirate offers a product anywhere in the world, 24 x 7, purchasable from the convenience of your personal computer, and the legal provider says the product is region-locked, will come to your country 3 months after the US release, and can only be purchased at a brick and mortar store, then the pirate's service is more valuable." -Gabe Newell
Common quote but pretty applicable here I think. I'm not really for piracy but I will admit I used to pirate... before I started using Steam. Once Steam let me get games easily I no longer pirated. Does difficulty of access make piracy right? No. But cases like mine are a reality... so I can understand why OP pirates. Especially if the case is that the publishers will not make the game accessible in their region; in a case like that, who is he hurting since the pubs already decided they don't want his money?
