Some games support a controller, what console controller is it?

In most cases it is a Xbox 360 controller.

Lots of indie games and fighting games support any controller, you don't even need an Xbox 360 one, you can just configure any controller in options.

I'm using ps4 controller with DS4 emoulator,works fine with all games

well i guess a xbox controller works in the most cases, if the game has controller support at all

Use any controller and if it's not working, you can always emulate desired one.

It is typically set up for an xbox 360 controller but you can use any one you like as long as you have the correct software :)

Edit: for a ps3 controller I use DS3 :)

How i bought a Gamepad recently :

1. The Yellow Light of Death appeared on my friend`s ps3 console !

2. He said to me that how could i help him !

3. I bought one of ps3 game pads

4. Run DS3 tool

5. Profit ?

Brothers doesn't actually require a controller though. I wanted to play it with my sister, you can play it on both a keyboard or ONE controller (that's freaking annoying, controls are made for both playing on the single controller, I'm not ready for that kind of commitment to my sister)

On other cases, all the games I played gave me instructions for Xbox controller, since the PS controller is breaking my fingers after 2 hours, I prefer the Xbox one controller

They refer to a 360 controller i think ... however most of times pretty much any controller can work .
I got a cheap 10$ Chinise 1 , and its working fine on pretty much any game i played with it so far .

The only issue i had was with Hyperdimension Neptunia ... the game refused to detect it for some reason .
Solution was to just plug it b4 i start the game ...
