I recently commented on a trade post about Fallout 4. I had several people add me wanting to do trades. One scammed me, a second attempted to scam me. It makes it seem as though there are bots scanning the trade section to collect profiles for scammers. While it certainly would not completely stop this, you may be able to limit how much this happens by requiring users to sign in to view any posts there. If you flagged users who seem to scan every post in a short time, that could further help to stop scammers from using your site as a tool for their nefarious deeds.
