Chrome keeps removing my SG+ extension each and every time I close the browser completely. After that, I re-add it to the extension list, but it is removed again as soon as I close the broser or the computer.

Does anyone know how to prevent it from doing so again ?

There's always a war over unsignificant things, like other peoples' prefferences in matter of browsers.

heh, well since no1 is giving any advice(my thread took a while to actualy bring help too) I guess the least I can do since Idk what autoupdate would cause this but maybe you can reinstall chrome since that seems like the simplest thing possible that if u cant find a solution you might as well try.

Opera 'was' best. If you ask me, they've gone downhill.

Why are people saying IE and firefox are better? Firefox used to be good, but it's been mostly unusable for me as of the last few months thanks to flash player. Flash player + Firefox = constant crashing on my computers, and Firefox - Flash = very few videos and no flash games. Also there's all the annoying flash updates that are needed as well. With chrome flash is integrated into the browser, and I've had no flash related problems since switching to chrome.

Firefox also used to have more useful addons, but now chrome has more addons than FF ever did.

And IE? Really? Does anyone seriously think IE is better? IE is better now than it used to be, but it's still very lacking in addons, options, stability, and it's slower than all other browsers (except maybe netscape, lol). It seems like the only relevant options are chrome and opera.

Also haven't had this problem on chrome, sorry OP. Only problem I've had with chrome is the stupid sync password for syncing data, that sync feature is bullshit. Luckily I physically backed up my cookies/paswords before installing Windows 8.

Opera isn't worth using since it became a bad Chrome clone.

Flash player just got a big update today, dunno if it will fix your problems. Flash has always given me issues though, I hate the damn thing.

Your Chrome extension cache is corrupted. You will need to reinstall Chrome completely (including delete all setting files on the system), or search on Google some ways to delete the cache.

it's not something with cache or anything. chrome just decided to not let extensions from outside chrome web store.

you need to install tampermonkey extension to keep your sg+

otherwise chrome will delete it everytime.

Wrong. I installed SG+ independently with Tampermonkey. And Chrome doesn't remove anything not from the store, as long as it supports the current protocol of Chrome extension.

Not wrong.

This, This, and This. Either use Chrome dev channel, or Install Tampermonkey and then add SG+ into it.
