sad face

One of my favorite stories about him was one he told while on NPR, it was during the making of Stripes IIRC he realized he kept writing his characters going to the strip clubs, so he just stopped working and went to a strip club.

Strip clubs come up a lot in his movies...

Welp, there goes our last chance at having a proper Ghostbusters 3.
Seriously though, for someone who shied away from leading roles, he always acted well, and was a pretty good writer too.

Idk, Dan Aykroyd might nut up and try to finish it. They wrote those movies together and it was supposed to be about a new generation anyway, plus the third one is really Aykroyd's baby.

Granted it won't be the same but the Hollywood remake machine has been getting better (Dredd and Robocop were both pretty decent, arguably better than their predecessors, and Ghostbusters is of that era)

As bad as the Robocop remake is, it's still probably the second best Robocop as the sequels were an abomination. It's a shame, if they had called it something else besides Robocop (Robot Lawman, etc) then it probably wouldn't have bombed so badly in the box office. I'm not sure what they were thinking.

It was around 2000 when I saw Dom Irrera working the carpet at the American Comedy Awards (I think), and he asked HR "What are you doing here?"

Harold was there to win best movie for Analyze This, which he directed/co-wrote. Awkward....

Honestly, I'm not sure which upset me more. R.I.P. Egon Spengler.
