GA with math.
I've seen a few GA's already hidden behind math but well its been stupid statistic problems so I decided to make a more physics oriented one-
there are three quesitons with increasing dificulty. The GA is for Chroma Squad and is Open to anyone willing to finish the math (it will end in a week)
don't think anyone else is still trying to solve this so I'll close it

okay so as per request I'm posting the solution to question #3 for those interested :p
It makes me happy the amount of people who solved it for the math.

You like math right?

Of course
As long as its not stats
1 + 1 = Potato
are you talking about meth?
Yeah I love math
Just Give me the GA

Ez :D

I mean yeah they are pretry easy in comparison to the sort of stuff I could have put but idk I just wanted to have 3 different kinds of math and didn't really care what it was beyond that-whatever I came up with off the top of my head that didn't involve me having to pulling out a pencil and paper

but can I ask, what is the gravitational acceleration approximate used in Q3?

more importantly does it include the power of getting out the body of the dead tank driver

The power was disipated when he died

what

I like math as long as it's not Calculus. 3 classes of it in high school and 3 more in college kinda killed it for me.

Oh sorry p sure you need to integrate for question 3
Unless you do a summation thing and take the limit that would probably work as well
:/

Should be fine, after 6 calc classes I should be pretty good at it by this point.

You can avoid integration by using the centroid of a cone.

True-that's also an valid option-
I welcome solving it in whatever way you like

I am a EE so the first 2 were kind of easy, but I don't remember very much mechanics so that last one seems pretty tricky. I'm gonna see if I can make sense of it without Google or old textbooks.

I mean I wasn't trying to make it hard...I just wanted different types of math and made problems I could do in my head/using nothing but a calculator :p

I know, but it's a nice challenge. I get to try to figure out/remember something I haven't touched in 4 or 5 years :)

I mean...thats the goal. For people to do different kinds of math-I just chose stuff that I could do in my head/with a calculator but no paper cause I was too lazy to use a bunch of stuff that required a bunch of work.
Anyways good luck with question #3

I never saw the original problem, but your solution looks wrong.
what is "i" at the end of "m="?
"r=" is incorrect.
r=4-(x/2) NOT r = 4-(1/(2pix))

xi is the size of each section that's being summed (each volume has a hight of xi and when the amount of sections reaches infinity-xi gets infinitesimally small...basically its just whats happening as proof for writing the integration formula)-I already used x to show the distance from the top ie how far each slice has to travel upwards and thus how much work is required at each level.

also yeah I wrote this quickly (in word which was a pain) so r was a spelling mistake-its written correctly in the integration formula tho.
