The site has over 168000 members - there's bound to be a couple (of hundred or thousand) idiots amongst them.

well they will all be banned so those contributions will bring them no good anyway, thx for sharing the facebook giveaway with us, the game looks nice and i am glad i will be able to try it. its really not your fault, and no reason to beat yourself about it, you wanted to share a free game with us, they are the ones abusing the rules

And about those fake giveaways - just report them. Hopefully they get removed.

They shouldn't be marking as received, as they did not get the correct game.

Or they are just greedy bastards. "I get keys for free? Why not create multiple fake accounts and get one for every account and give it away to raise my contributor rating!"

k seriously, these winners of Guns of Icarus Online giveaways should not mark: "gift received" check box even they got the keys. the gifter deserves it because the contribution value doesnt come from himself.
