This game? Hmm ( ๏ฝข'ฮ')๐โช
Think of a good way to ask the question.
Have "all games" in the Steam library sorted by "time played".
This would make it easier for people to remember the games they were passionate about.( ๏ฝข'ฮ')๐ป
After all, if things ever calm down again, I'd like to touch...
Typical, so omitted.

A slightly strange game that strangely confirmed my spatial awareness.

A game that allowed me to recognize that I was a little crazy.

Another thing I struggled with would be this game...I went through hell with the non-Steam version.

Yes Yes Yes!!
Just recently finished playing Chained Echoes, before this game I was under the impression that 'turn based' games meant games where after your chance the character moves in a certain direction in the gameplay battle board or something. I was never going to give such chess war type games a chance, no matter the story. Same thing for pixel games, if it look old and meh...I would probably pass on it.
However I won this game called Chained Echoes on SG, didnt think deeply when i had entered for it after consulting some initial reviews. I was procrastinating on finally playing it... for months.
And boy was I wrong! Turn based are totally not what I thought they were. The fights in the game were so addicting, the game also had a wonderful storyline. Graphics and world building were beautiful as well. I spent like 62 hours playing this game. All in all, I truly enjoyed the experience.๐

Oh man. Welcome to the world of turn-based RPGs, I hope!

Honestly looks like a really interesting game, I've played certain turn based strategy games but nothing quite like this and it does look pretty good from the trailer and pictures tbh!

The only game I can think of like this was also a visual novel, Doki Doki Literature Club.

I recently played Inspector Waffles. Not a fan of point and click games at all, especially their puzzles, but was pleasantly surprised by this one, great writing and actually fun gameplay where you don't have to play with a guide open in the background.

I wasn't a huge fan of the "survival" types of games, but Grounded and Core Keeper really took me by surprise. Both are well worth their price tags.
Grounded was my 2022 Game of the Year.

Same, I didn't play many visual novels, as I don't find them very engaging, yet I played Eliza and was pleasantly surprised by how well it was written. Sadly, in my experience, the writing in most games is pretty bad, so it was nice to read something that feels like it was written by writers and people who know how to create natural and purposeful dialogue.

At the very least that game does look very intriguing, can't say I'm eager to play another visual novel but that does look pretty good

Yes recently i fell in love with this master piece.

I love games where your choices impact a story, and if it's story rich that does look good
Comment has been collapsed.
Yes its story rich you can choose to turn someone vampire(your progeny) kill them or spare them. It all matters during the gameplay.

Awesomenauts. It's the only MOBA I've played to this day. Too bad Ronimo recently went bankrupt and the game's effectively dead, at least for the time being.
Super Animal Royale is another one. Only BR game I've played so far. Don't have a lot of interest for the genre as a whole.

Turbo golf racing. (https://store.steampowered.com/app/1324350/Turbo_Golf_Racing/)
I'm not a fan of sport games, occasionally stuff like mario kart but that's it.
Yet I keep coming back to this game

Bejeweled 3 ๐
The only "match" game I've ever played on console (PS3). Can't even remember why I bought it; maybe it was being delisted? IDK. 50+ hours with 100% completion, which was not an easy feat with a gamepad.

bejeweled is one of the best match 3 games so I can see why, I even played it in WoW on a mod... although the high score auto announcement sometimes called me out as I was playing it mid raid sometimes(what can I say, a shadow priests rotation wasn't hard, some of those of fights weren't hard mechanically either)

Shadowrun.
I hate turn based strategy to the core (or any strategy games in general) since i suck at them, but the story in shadowrun is just too good to be passed. Im in love with all 3 games and dont mind playing more of their shadowrun games if they eventually do it again.

I think games are a like food, if you're willing to explore and try different things you can learn to appreciate all different types, even the kind you think aren't your thing.
SpaceChem An open ended puzzle game that may not sound too exciting but once I started getting it, I was hooked. I ended up not finishing due to the difficulty, but I got around 75% through.
The Talos Principle A first person puzzle game with some interesting stuff to discover.
Darkwood A creepy top down survival horror game. I tried this out, didn't like it and quit, then came back years later and played it through. It was worthwhile.

what card game you talk about please, i'm curious the name doesn't appear

Oh thanks for the title, i didn't know this game exists, from afar it looks like Hand of fate but much darker and frightening. Would you say it's seriously frightening or humoristically frightening ?
About the links, you can refer to https://www.steamgifts.com/about/comment-formatting
Here it would be, removing all the extra spaces :

Thank you very much, i'm more on the "humoristically frightening"
(or the not fightening at all like for example roguebook, 'cause i'm not very brave !)
Then i'll keep a look at it, who knows one day on sale or a bundle !

I love racing games. I know I suck at them, specially the more simulation they have, the worse I drive. But I enjoy them a lot.
Then for some reason I tried American Truck Simulator. I still can't explain why it worked with me. Just relaxing driving, some difficult parking, and that's about it. But it's amazing. My gf giggled a lot about how I could enjoy the game so much. She ended getting it and playing many hours - eventually getting tired and moving on.
But I still have ATS and ETS2 with as many expansion maps as I can.

a friend of mine and i usually race who of us delivers the fastest with the least damage possible. i saw him once when he crashed against a car on the emergency lane and flew away from the bridge into the sea :D

I hate the games with walls of texts in english because my english sucks, and i'm too lazy to read long texts
But i feel in love with Suzerain, Over the Alps and 80 days. Texts, texts and texts again.
Suzerain i loved to be a politician who has to reconcile work and family life.
Hard english in 80 days, an english tiger, didn't understand all but enjoyed what little i understood of the atmosphere.
Over the Alps i just loved glue stamps non-stop on postcards
Roadwarden i see there are long texts too, i've it in backlog... but you make want to try it, for sure i'll try it one day after seeing your recommandation !

+1 on Suzerain. I wanted to see how well I could run a country and where my political leanings lead me. A military coup overthrew me and placed me in prison on false charges of working with an enemy country.

normally i play mostly racing games and open worlds sandboxes with some point n click games ... there are 3 games that fall into the the criteria:

I have almost 60 hours in Shufflepuck Cantina Deluxe and earned most of the achievements, despite having very little interest in playing most competitive/sports games. I think it's because of how unapologetic the Star Wars spoof is, combined with the silly game mechanics.

Hades. I am not usually a person that wants to play roguelites but Hades is a masterpiece. Anything from Supergiant Games turns out to be great though so I am not really surprised

Baldur's Gate 3 is the first cRPG that i felt compelled to finish, not my style usually but it's really well made and noob friendly

I'm 100% waiting for a good sale on this, when it released I got 1 & 2 because of Humble Bundle but couldn't get into them, I know I'd love BG3 however

I never cared for Roguelikes/Roguelites until I booted Slay the Spire, yet here we are. I probably have more hours streaming StS content than playing the game itself at this point

I don't think I ever even payed attention to any trivia game before but I adored Majotori. I was mostly drawn to it by the narrative aspect of the game and its art-style, but the trivia itself is really fun and managed to resonate with my interests. I don't think I'll be going out of my way to play more trivia games tho.

Have you ever been intrigued by a game, or somehow stumbled upon something that typically you wouldn't even poke with a stick? I just recently played a game, or actually a visual novel called Roadwarden. I have never had any remote interest in visual novels but for some reason something drew me to this game, I can't remember if I traded for it a few months ago or if I had just gotten in a bundle but a few days ago I decided to play it and I couldn't put it down. Fantastic story and very well written.
Which leads me to ask, is there a game outside of your typical genres that you gave a shot and fell in love with?
