I used http://www.trackcha.com/ to find it so I'm not sure if it's the one that you are looking for. This was the only result and sounds very similar.

It sounds similar melodically but it's not the same song. The acoustic guitar is very prominent in song from OP.

try Audiggle its some kind of program like Shazam that finds the music from youtube videos,it may help

I think I saw you posted on his Google+ account. Did you know you can send him an e-mail by using Gmail and sending the e-mail to his G+ username? His G+ username is +BestDamnMovie

Hope that helps! Because I have no clue what the sample is, it sounds like something from someones Soundcloud so it won't be in any popular database.
