Get Black 2. Then use an Action Replay to get all the pokemon.

Another vote for Black 2. It has Grumpig.

Black 2 is 2 good, get white 2 later

White 2: you get zekrom

black 2, you can unlock a hard mode in it. in white 2 you unlock an easy mode.

i got black 2...i had black 1 so i just decided to get black 2

I haven't even finished Soul Silver. Get black 2 though.

Get Blue or Red. They're the classics, and what made the series awesome. And I've always thought the newer batches of pokemons (yes, starting gold) were really weird looking in comparison to the original.

When I got back in the franchise with Pearl, I was really surprised by the weirdness of so many of them... But the system and mechanics sure improved.

Is there even a game (or duo of game) with which you can really get them all? I was kinda negatively surprised when I found out I couldn't get some of the legendaries from Emerald without trading (and even then it was difficult because not seeing them ever made it impossible to search for them in a trade...)

Black 2 gives you Challenge Mode. White 2 can have it also but you have to transfer a key from Black 2, so is kinda harder to get that mode.
