Is Porsche the best NFS game?
Went to check GOG, and I'm pretty sure you already guessed my level of luck :P

Personally, Most Wanted 2 (PS2) is where the series peaked IMO.

I always thought Underground was the best in the series : )

Well, it's old enough so it's available for free. http://www.old-games.ru/game/download/814.html
This site is NOT warez, so no cracks are offered. Only legit CD images and/or rips.
PS. If the site is in a wrong language, just click flag in the top right corner.

If I remember corerctly there was no official translateion, and it's not mentioned in description. It should be original, English image.

That is true, O-G only hosts original untouched images wherever possible.

Clueless. It is a piracy site. Also cracks are in fact included for some games.
e.g. check "files" tab and notice the small file lableed "no-cd": http://www.old-games.ru/game/download/5255.html
Straight up piracy - one random example:
http://www.old-games.ru/catalog/?gamename=mortal+kombat
http://www.gog.com/game/mortal_kombat_123
They even have the balls to link to GOG to buy it while the direct d/l link to steal it is right underneath.
Another random example:
http://www.old-games.ru/game/download/5128.html
Linking to GOG again with directy d/l links underneath. Never mind that KOTOR2 is sold on Steam too.
No-cd Crack in the files list.
3rd: http://www.old-games.ru/game/download/4944.html VTM:B soldon Steam. Include no-cd crack in file list...
On and on...
TOTALLY not a warez site...
/facepalm

Please do not call it warez for distributing something for free that is sold somewhere. We can have a very long discussion about it but I'd refrain. Let the mods here decide if the link is legit or not. I will not participate in copyright wars.
Another nail in your coffin, NoCD is not equal to warez. Do you remember StarForce protection? Do you know how to launch older games with older protections on Windows 10? The case with VtM:B is very much like this. Have you tried to launch ORIGINAL version on Win7x64? Does it run? Exactly. O-G only hosts NoCD and their likes if they make games playable on modern systems. End of line.
The site does not break any laws of the country it is located in, including copyright protection laws. Links for downloading licensed games are removed following a direct request from copyright holder. And please don't mention GOG without having the whole picture. GOG actually uses O-G fixes/hacks/enhancements to some of the games to make them runable on modern systems. Linking to GOG is quite alright, some people simply want to have paid versions of the games afailable for free.
So please dismount your high horse and leave. The door is right here.

He's a member of their Steam group at any rate. I reported them to Steam mods, we'll see if they actually do anything about it like close their group or not. I usually have little faith in Steam mods actually responding to report tickets.
They are even pirating Valve games:

Does Russia not have copyright laws? Abandonware is still protected under that. What abandonware means is that the developer/publisher have stopped selling & supporting the software. Not selling or supporting software does not constitute you being allowed to freely distribute it though.
Most "serious" abandonware sites will removes games when requested. That does not make what they do legal though. It just means that they have enough common sense to avoid legal battles (if what they were doing was legal, they would not have to remove games when requested to do so).

LOL, sterotypical Russian scumbag. Always defending your pathetic behavior. Frankly I'm all for people using "legit" abandonware however they want. Your site is full of titles that are actively being sold by their owners.

No problem 2nd worlder. Even if you did manage to ever make a GA for something I didn't already own, I wouldn't GAF.

Have to pull you off my whitelist then I guess.
You also see to not be astute enough to have noticed that Russians are white. You considering them to not be white is flat out racism.
Thanks for the tip about "2nd world" actually being a real term. Updated my post.

It falls under the same category though, making sweeping generalizations about people from a certain region. So no, per definition it's not quite racism (unless you count it as prejudice against Slavs, in which case it is racism, it depends a bit on how you approach it. "Russian" is also a term used for the east Slavic ethnic group. Racism is not just "White vs Black").

Made my day. If a game is old then its free xd. Best joke ever. No, its not abandonware. Abandonware is when the trademark owner abandoned the product and doesnt care about it at all. And I can assure you EA cares about their trademarks and copyrights
So yeah, by your logic eg Warcraft 2 is also an abandonware xd

First google hit…

As for the game, to be frank, I never understood the love. It wasn't a simulator enough to be called one, but had too rigid controls to be an arcade racer. It was like as if it tried to move out of the comfort zone of the previous two games, but fell on its face halfway through. Shift was a much better simulator, the Fast & Furious rip-off games were better arcade.

Yeah i remember Proshe Unleashed, remember thinking a game with only porsches what a silly idea, and them playing it that entire evenning xD
I think its appeal came with a clever design on progresion, and inplementer really well quiet time, wich on a racing game its really hard, most racers today just give you an open world to drive about, but porshe gave you driving challenges, that was really clever.
Also remember giving it to a friend that to that point only playend MechWarrrior, and he loved it. :P
PS: 50 bucks!!! probably i should keep my old jewel case... last time i saw it was torn to bits ^^U....

I remember when I was a little mindless pooper and I lost the other cars and just crashed randomly until the car damage went red everywhere. That was the stuff. Every time I played the game I had a totally different perspective of it, and I always liked it.
+the graphics are the undying type, at least for me.

This is my favorite Need for Speed by a long shot. I never had it, but my brother did. I watched him play so much back in the day and had the chance to play a decent amount myself. I've never seen any other Need for Speed come close to it.
I'd love to see it come to GOG. :)

Ebay or other second hand sources at this moment are the only way to find legit copies.....
I am not sure you will ever see them due to license issues is my guess as to why they are not even on Steam the music is easy enough to get past but the license for the cars i bet is the reason or they are fighting over ownership of them lol

So I just saw this article, and I remembered this really awesome game. Honestly, this was the only NFS game I ever enjoyed. The others felt so generic. Except maybe Carbon, it was the first open world game I ever played, it had an impact on me, but nothing else that attracted me, I completely forgot about it when I first played Flatout 2.
Yeah, back on topic... How can I buy this game? Or at least get it without scrolling through the crack sea? I'm over cracks, I'm tired of cracks, never again.
