Black friday isn't much of a problem where I live, it just gets a lot more crowded than usual but people don't rush to take down store fronts to get in faster, at least I've never heard of such a thing, it's a small island after all.

I don't get the fuss around it. They started doing this thing in Greece too since last year (or more? - I don't even remember!) and it looks pathetic. It's not like you see hordes of people hitting each other - thank Cthulhu for that. :P It's more like:
Store X sells some items for an A price!
Store X raises the price before Black Friday to 2A price!
During Black Friday, store X drops the price to A + 1/2A!
People are seeing the discounts and buy the items - but there are no actual discounts, because the prices are actually higher than before.

But anyway, still, a lot of people are visiting the stores here during Black Friday. It's stupid though, as I have explained.

I believe in America the deals are real contrary to the rest of the world copycats. In Argentina is the same shit, they rise the prices and then add fake discounts. It is a joke.

I went out to take part in Black Friday once just to experience being around all the craziness. Prices weren't even that good :p

Black friday is not really such a crazy thing where I'm from so I think I'm safe... still not going close to any shopping mall that day, just in case :)
