If they don't want to make their library public, another option could be to ask them to make it friends-only and temporarily add you on Steam. My library is actually friends-only all the time, and I find it less trouble to add someone than to switch to public and back

Send a reroll request to the sg mods. They can check private profiles too.
The winner must wait till this check is done and you have anyway 7 days, so you aren't in a hurry. And if the winner is in a hurry, it is, often, a bad sign.

I usually double check the winner profile If he does not own the game. But for my current giveaway the winner profile seem to be public, but not the games. I checked the FAQ and I read, that it is only required to switch the profile on every week or so. Are there any tools or some way for me to perform my check (maybe on "old" state)?
