Alright so I wanna know if Skullgirls is region locked, can anyone itell me how can I check that?

I've tried Google but can't get any info on that(besides the online being restricted for PS3 users).

Also tried - https://steamdb.info/app/245170/

Which store/country did you get it from?

EDIT: https://steamdb.info/search/?a=sub&q=skullgirls I don't think Skullgirls is region locked, but it depends on which country and store you got it from. For example, a while back I bought Inversion from Amazon US but couldn't activate it here in the UK as it was locked to US only. SteamDB shows a page like this, if it's region locked, (as far as I can tell, anyway), the tiny red arrow points to what I mean;

I haven't got it, but I have someone in Brazil who can get it for me but warned that it might be locked to South America.

The weird thing is that I can't find any info online regarding that :s

Every SteamGift from Brazil is region locked to at best South America, maybe to Brazil only - you can only activate it and play it if you're from that country.

It is general rule that Steam put a bit over half a year ago.

SteamGift, or Nuuvem?

Because I talk about SteamGifts, no cd-keys.

Nuuvem for the Brazilian game but I've bought from Amazon US a few times and have only had one single instance of Region Locking

Yeah, Nuuvem isn't region-locked in most cases, usually they sell world-wide keys.
I'm was talking about Steam where they put heavy restrictions about gifts and trading, practically killing SteamGifts from Brazil (and other cheap regions).

Even on Nuuvem, if it's region locked, there will be a red bordered box somewhere on the page will usually say, (DISCLAIMER: I'm not saying always and not saying always red, just usually!!)

Only game keys have nothing to do with Steam, those locks are up to the publisher not Steam

You can not use steam DB to buy keys from other retailers to decide if it is locked or not, that only applies to stuff bought on Steam.

To be safe you should assume any key is locked to the region you bought it from just in case, though you can usually verify it if you ask someone who just bought from there.Nuuvem use to sell keys that where region free until publishers started to sale lock them to SA.but people started using things like Hola to get around that,so they started sending them region locked keys peroid.\

This is what happens when people try and get a game from regions not meant for them, you take a big chance of region locks or play locks even,as that has happened with some game keys in the past where you could only play in servers for the region the key was for.

Again Steam DB does not decide Region Locks for sites like GMG,AMAZON and so on,the publisher does,or the retailer themselves can decide to only sell to there region,as Amazon does state it is meant for use in U.S. only.

Buying out of region for cheaper is fine if you want to risk it,as with any site if you buy it out of region and the key does not work for some reason you will not get any refund even if it just a region lock as it was meant for the region it was sold in,so keep all this stuff in mind

Anything sold on Steam will be locked minus the expensive places like U.S. but who would buy from us in most cases it will be more, unless you find a trader who bought during sale and cheaper then your full price.

https://steamdb.info/app/245170/ I can't see that here, does it mean it's region free?

All games from cheap regions are region locked on Steam store, there is no way to buy them as region free. You don't have to look at Steamdb, is just region locked on purchase, because Steam changed it several months ago. That's why on Steam Trades Skullgirls copy will cost you 1.5-2 keys, if it was possible to buy region free copies from cheap regions then it would cost less.

If you want cheap prices and not region locked games, you can still buy outside of Steam store, like in Nuuvem for example.

Well, I'll just throw this out there again, see if I can hook any users. On 30/05/2015, I bought a game from Brazil for R$3,99 and guess what? Go on, try....................You know you want to!!.............That's right, activated and played here in the UK absolutely fine. I have, however, noticed that most stores will display on the product page as to any region locks that may apply

Where you bought it? on Nuuvem? Because I'm talking about Steam Store...since you say "activated and played" this means you bought a key outside Steam Store...or traded gift?

I've bought and traded gifts and have only ever had 1 problem with region locking, that's it, just the one single time

If you got a region free tradable copy from someone from Brazil, then that guy must have bought it several months ago before region lock.

Because now there is no way to buy region free copies from Brazil Steam Store, Steam just changed it.

Read what i posted above,if your buying a key from say like Amazon,Steam DB means squat if what they sell is region free or not, they have no say over that,Retail keys sold on sites like Amazon are up to the publisher if they are locked and how they are.

So do not use that if your thinking of buying from like GMG,Amazon,Humble and son.

Now if your buying on Steam, there is only a couple places still region free U.S. and EU i am not sure about Canada.

Nuuvem is a crap shoot usually it states if it is region free but i bought a game awhile back before and it did not state region locked but when i tried on Steam it said it was,it was only Vice City but still something to keep in mind.I am not even sure they know all the time if it is locked or not unless the publisher states it.As i also bought Max Payne 3 there without issue, then awhile later the keys where locked per the publisher. That is why i never pre ordered GTA V i was not sure if they would send locked keys or not, turned out the first batches where region free, but now they are region locked.
