The dev is giving away 100 copies but didn't post much information on the game, so I figured I'd post more about it here.

Starbound is essentially a vastly upgraded version of Terraria in space, with an endless number of worlds to explore instead of being confined to the one you're playing on. You get a spaceship, seven races to choose from and randomly generated monsters on each planet to keep you from encountering the same things over and over. :)

Hopefully if these guys get a lot of preorders off of giving away a bunch of copies of their game on Steamgifts, the devs might create preorder giveaways for the other games they're publishing too like Wanderlust Rebirth, Treasure Adventure World and Stardew Valley. :D
