Would You like to not changing contributor levels because of decreasing gifts value?
I lost some % too for that.
It's not implementable as SG takes value from steam.
Happens, deal with it :c

As I said it's hard to fix
Every old giveaway should be modified, like you gifted another game (a custom game, with custom price)
Then you should do that for every price change, for every game, it's too much work.
Considering that it goes down for everyone and that it's quite hard to predict that, I'd say that it sucks a bit, but at the end of the day is not a tragedy.

i would be ok with freezing prices for AAA titles. for example, it makes little sense than someone gifting a fallout 4 copy for $60 will get $20 in 1-2 years.
maybe that's how the system was meant to work, or else some people would just sit at the top without contributing anything else after reaching a desired lv.

it is. cv once stated that in this way the lvl 10 will be kept on "their toes". and won't get stuck,
not that you need any more encouragement if you got to lvl 10.
i don't think Fallout 4 will reach full price of 20 in 2 years. on sales yes, not full price.
i kind of like it.
and i never buy new releases, too buggy (almost bought WoM, but you nice people talked me out of it)

The CV can go down for 2 reasons,
The sale price, aka the base price, on the Steam store, went down. This doesn't happen so often but when it does, the CV will go down. There is nothing to be done about it, and no matter when you made the giveaway, current CV will reflect on current sale price.
You made a giveaway of a game that was marked as bundled some time after you giving it away. The bundler is a lone ranger human, and can be slow to mark a game was bundled. Changes are retroactive to the day the game was bundled. What is a bundled game?. It was on a sale more than 94%. On Steam store, this will take into account Russian store prices and other regions as well. Elsewhere, this includes if the game was in a bundle. We're not talking about bundles on steam here, we're talking IndieGala, Humble Bundle, BundleStars, etc. Not all bundled games will be considered bundled. It just has to be at more than 94%. A game on the bundle list will only award 15% of the base price.

ha, knew it was all along
i won't tell anyone else promise

there are countries that pay full price (US) for games and get region-locked versions. doesn't seem to fair to those people. right now everything gets blunded if one region reaches 95% off the total price, it's stupid but i think it's better than the region-cv option.

While I agree that maybe we should award cv based on the prices when we make giveaway/ giveaway ended but it also let to an issue that at some point people just stop giveaway since they already sit at the top or sit at their wanted level.

I'm not sure if the topic somwehere exists but I would like to know if You bother of a situation when You have for example contributor level 4 and one day you realise that it is now 3. I think that our level shouldn't depend from current prize of gifts but the prizes from the day we have made giveaway. I think that would be more fair. Am I crazy?
P.S. Sorry for my english...
