Clicky

  • Games can now be assigned to more than one category at a time
  • In desktop library details, list, and small views, games can be multiply selected using shift-click and control-click and certain operations can be performed on the group

Finally!

And I didn't lie in topic there is no giveaway (yet).

Can we install multiple games at the same time?

Nope :(

You can remove or backup multiple games at same time. Hopefully they add this in future :)

I doubt they'll ever let you download/install more than one game at the same time because the way the downloads work is Steam downloads one game from multiple servers to bypass throttling and give you the fastest possible speed.

Install as in start install and queue, this was indeed added in second update today :)

What about sharing library between Windows and Linux? Now I have TF2 installed two times...

I'd say that rare enough case to make it not worth.

Most use either Windows or Linux (well single operating system).
Mostly boils down to different filesystem used in Windows, Linux & Mac.

I would like to have only one OS - Linux, but I have some Windows only programs. And I would like to play my games without rebooting. Filesystem isn't a problem, NTFS works fine.

For you! Steam isn't catering professionals who can setup these things (mount ntfs, allow executing from ntfs drives, etc.)

Symlink would be probably easiest way to make it shared.

Awesome. One last thing would make this feature complete: Custom filters. So I can exclude games from the Finished category when looking through other categories, for example. And many other cases too. But considering how long it's taken, I think that might be wishful thinking.

There's also an interface for Steam Music in the desktop client now!
Please voice your support for a music display on the friends window here.

The only thing I'm asking is to have a possibility to hide some games from your library. I mean make them invisible for you and your profile guests.

You don't have to hide your love for some games like Barbie, be proud of you joy ;) (?

How about having Back to the future? Accepted that game like, a brazallion years ago and I'm ashamed of having it ever since :/ Didn't even touch it.

It only took forever. Still would prefer a tag system with the categories. My current categories are stuff like Beaten, Broken and Non Steam. I'd like tags for the game genre.

I'm not a fan of. It clutters the inventory even more, I usually keep games that I regularly play under Favorites, but now they also appear under their particular category. Would've been better off with tags rather than this.

Also, that update to the browser is amazing. No longer feels like you have IE6 running inside Steam.
