My mum teaches portuguese (I'm from Portugal), sometimes to middle school classes if they're assigned to her, but she actually hasn't been teaching for at least 2 years due to a workplace injury (and most probably won't return to it), and my dad is a technological education and photography teacher.

My dad is the manager of a pawn shop. He's worked at one since he was 18. My mom is unemployed for health reasons

ahaha the funny thing is that my dad hates those pawn shop shows. He says before the shows people came in with normal stuff, but now people keep trying to sell their dogs, cats, clothes, pianos, etc lol.
Then people come in expecting some kind of fun wonderland, when it's really just a boring pawn shop xD

My mom is a probation officer. Full time for adults, part time for juveniles. Does a damn good job, but is screwed over by the county. She's trying to get a job at another county that will actually pay her what they promise.
My Dad does something for the Peace Corp. Contracting for the government is very profitable, and he's kinda rich.

I'm not exactly sure how to name it in English. My father basically projects and works with designated conservation areas, I think that's pretty cool. My mother is a plant pathologist in the private sector, but for the last 2 years she's been mostly working as a full-time granny for my niece.

They are both retired (finally, heh). Dad was a history teacher and then journalist, Mom was a journalist from the start. That's how they met - working for the same newspaper.

Hello my dear SteamGifts community,
This morning a wild idea appeared in my head while I was still in bed.
What does your parents do for a living?
Yes I know it's private questions and I will fully understand whoever is not willing to share this personal information.
So my mother is a janitress (I thought Janitor was unisex word, well google says otherwise) and she is in a cosy tiny firm and there is not so hard work for her which is nice and my father just recently retired from the local Police department.
Please don't go hard on me for my curiosity :)
