Attempt to steal account?

So... a friend just randomly asked me to go and click a random link I never heard of, I'm obviously not posting it... but the link has something along the lines of "autoinstall murdervids"
I obviously didnt wanted to click it, I tried to google it and nothing appears so it's a big nope.
If you are interested this is the conversation.

Also by friend I assume you mean random person on your list with minimal prior contact.
What kind of site was it? Was this a upload site? Or a link that looked like something else? Or just some random weird link? Was it .com, .ru, ect?
Did he really think threatening to kill your family in all caps would work? Are they in any real danger?
And can you really get murdered by vids?
