I is potato?
I hate that feeling when I find a really nice spot in a room full of people to look at without me being awkward, and then someone has to ruin it and I just start looking at my feet.

Thank you for the giveaway. And it's not a shame to have a shoe fetish. If you like shoes, don't be ashamed of it and let everyone know. :P

A Female? Sounds like it might have been a female monkey, dog, cat... uh, dunno. Are you always calling women females? :P
And shoes can be pretty nice. Although it is strange to take pics of them and post them randomly on twitter I guess. You should at least say something like: "Love those shoes! Totally want them!" :D
Thanks for the GA :)

Not sure if I would be offended by being called chick. Maybe females in our place thing differently :P :D
Man, that's a shame! Next time you should ask the woman/female/chick were she got the shoes. You could even say that you think they would look great on your gf and that's why you took a pic :D

The best way to escape that situation is to declare OMG I love your shoes! before looking away haughtily and singing Lady Gaga no matter what it is you're actually listening to.
Works for me.
EDIT: Also works if you accidentally smile at someone whose boyfriend suddenly turns around and he's much, much bigger than you.

You should have acted homosexual and started complimenting about the shoes to explain why you took a picture of her shoes.

I remember not long after I inherited my brothers old iphone I discovered that the standby mode button makes the same noise as the camera for some unfathomable reason. I discovered this while standing at a bus stop, using my phone to check for info on why the bus might be running late (not that they usually need a reason) and happened to switch the phone into standby as a group of girls walked past, who then proceeded to burst into giggles

Not that awkward but today I pulled out my phone from my pocket to find that it managed to unlock itself, enter whatsapp and send two nonsensical messages acompanied by pitch black pictures IN MY WORK´S GROUP. Good think it only caused laughter when I explained what happened.
I'm still fascinated by the fact that the only 2 coherent words that got typed were "kernel" and "muy" (very in spanish).

Reminds me of a TIL post from the weekend about how phones sold in Japan always have the shutter sound turned on to deter up-skirt photography

Today on my way to uni, i accidentally took a photo with my phone.
After tweeting about a train that just sped through my station and forgot to stop, my phone would resume to the twitter app the next time i unlocked it. (Had to catch next train but was only 5mins late to lecture). So on the train i was seated in the aisle seat in a seating configuration of 3 seats facing another set of 3 seats. A chick(a female human being not something found in your everyday garden ) got on at a later stop, and sat directly in front of me. Now i no longer had the thrilling activity of staring at the wall behind her and so to avoid awkward eye contact, i pulled out my phone.
I wasn't intently focused on my phone screen and somehow i ended up with the camera turned on through the twitter app. In a clumsy effort to press the back button(which i thought i did) a minute i later found out i took a picture of her shoes instead. At this moment, i had most of my attention to the music i was listening to and had been oblivious to the camera click sound (probably echoed throughout the carriage ) so blurting out "oh shit" would seem pretty delayed.
Fortunately, i think she noticed my phone was facing more towards the floor at the time and she didnt confront me about it nor did the other passengers nearby. The camera feature within the twitter app doesnt automatically save the photo so if i was questioned i feel like i would have had a hard time showing what pic i took. I dont explain things well when im put on the spot.
However I felt dead like a Lich(GA ENDED) and pretended to be a potato for the rest of my trip.

edit: i think this happened because of me
