I'm writing a fantasy novel myself. But I can't tell you mine for obvious reasons. But I can make some on the spot. For instance, a good name for a main character would be Corrion, if he's a guy or Dhalia if she's a chick. Don't be afraid to use more common names from plain old English for your characters. The universe form The Sword of Truth novels(the series of books of which the show Legend of the Seeker was based) had some pretty ordinary English names, like Richard, George, Kara. They don't all have to sound epic and heroic like the names from LOTR.

I only wrote a few chapters. Ashamed to say I'm a really lazy writer. My day job is pretty time consuming (I'm a medical resident specializing in pediatrics) too, but that's hardly an excuse. It's called Magic is Overrated and it's about a prince who joins a group of people who are able to withstand and even be immune, in some cases, to magic in any form, which they achieve through a combination of intense physical and mental training, as well as using a very special drug ( :D ). They are thus able to specialize in combating threats that others can't, like really dangerous magical beings which are incredibly hard to kill with ordinary methods (dragons, lycanthrops, vampires, the undead, etc.) or extremely powerful magic practitioners (sorcerers, warlocks, wizards) who can roast people just with a wave of the hand , have gone evil and just go unchecked by the conventional authorities. They also help free or heal people afflicted by various nefarious spells or diseases magical in nature.

I'm going to give you some names I thought up, if you want. Since you promised you won't steal. My main character's name is Landon, his father's is Lester, his love interest's is Sylvia. See? Nothing that special. I chose English names because it's the global language and it's the language I hope it to be translated one day so as to sell it internationally. That way the names will appeal to all. The God of Light in my book is called Cohrm and his brother The God of Darkness is called Nermus, Landon's homeland is called Haptar and the continents on this world are called Arr, Aen, Ael, Ayi. Arr is the one on which Haptar's located. The world itself is called Exeria, btw. See? Not that hard.

Constellation names, planete names, mithology names... A lot of authors do the same.
For dwarf names, you can take inspiration in Apaches: Wetstone, Whitefeather, Blackfeet...

happy to inform you, you came to da wrong neighborhood to ask for advice in that matter lol

since most names already exist you might as well modify
already existing names ... matching whatever might be named
(its good when it sounds good or its not supposed to)

Take inspiration from Italian cheese.
Scamorza, Quartirolo Lombardo, Capriola, Fresa, Lacarian, Vastedda and Brocciu are a few examples.

With some tweaking to make them not quite as, well, Italian, they can serve as solid bases for people or place names.

This one trick I learnt from playing Guild Wars 2: if you need some faux-scandinavian names, just open an IKEA catalogue and pick some random product names.
