ask the creator of the giveaway.
It is allowed i think, but most of the time it is just not fair to enter.
Often the creator specifies in the GA description if you are allowed to enter or not.

^ As he said, ask the creator in the comments, assuming he frequently checks his giveaway.

Noone checks comments because everyone spams Thanks, which is useless in my opinion. Creator of giveaway can't track any problems or questions because of that.

Actually people often check their comments. I asked many questions in comments and creators always answered them.

Sometimes yes sometimes know, but it is basically known that if the game has under 3 dlcs then no

The creator can reroll it regardless if you own the base game though even if it does not say it in the rules

Basically,if you own more than 50% of the bundle (if it's a huge collection with alot of DLC) Be fair and don't enter, but if the SG engine gives you the option to enter then enter, but if the person who gives away the game doesn't want you to enter because of partial ownership of the game (from the collection/giveaway) So respect that aswell

There is no offical rule about it, it depands on the creator. If he's cool with it, go ahead. If not, he has to talk with the support first and then he has to tell his terms, probably in the description.

Well, he doesn't even need to do that. If someone wins a giveaway for a bundle/pack of games and own a part of it, the creator can request a reroll and get it.

I guess so. What matters is that he won't get punished.

They've also stated that entry rules can't be applied to public giveaways which would theoretically cover this instance.

You do realize that .Tiger! is Kaitlyn here on SG who is on the support staff. And it wouldn't be an entry rule anyways, since you don't have to inform the people entering that they can't enter if they own a part of the pack/bundle, and just reroll them if they do. So no, it would not cover this instance; that's just misinformation being spread by people who just assume things.

It's basically a courtesy just to let people know they won't win the giveaway if they own a certain amount of the pack/bundle, since they are breaking a basic rule of SG.

It's up to the giveaway creator to decide. Generally speaking, it's not classy to enter a giveaway where a significant fraction of it would go to waste.

Usually the only games that you can enter and own the base are indie games though.

In the end you should pull a rabbit out of a hat
