She died yesterday...but the last 3 days have been the most painful? How is that even posible? Or you are talking about her last 3 days of life?

Agh, I know your pain! My cat died a few years back while I was on vacation. The person who was watching him phoned me and let me know. Thankfully due to the shock I didn't feel it on the way home. It all hit me when I came home and he was truly gone. It's a horrible experience, sorry to hear you're going through it. :(

Death does not concern us, because as long as we exist, death is not here. And when it does come, we no longer exist.
That is. Death of others can really cause a lot of pain.

not really new but not rusty either, it was not really sharp which made it even worse.

of course a blunt or not very sharp nail would hurt more than a sharp one as it would take more time for it to get trough my foot, and if you wonder how it happened, i walked on our new terrace (my dad made it) he had forgot one of the nails, and then i stepped on it.

I once had a 13 cm long knife-shaped piece of glass through my back almost all the way to a pulmon, but the most painful time was after all the fuss, when the muscles had to regrow. That felt a bit like being upside-down Dr House.
Other painful memories are a dislocation of the arm (and feeling it almost literally dripping away from the shoulder wasn't exactly the most joyful sensation) and having a needle pierce my toe. Thrice.

swine flu, the exhaustion and the fever were agonizing

This wasn't that painful but it was very weird/disgusting:
When I was much younger, I fell off my bike and my middle fingernail completely ripped off. Basically, my finger was a bloody meaty mess.
Thankfully, the nail grew back.

I heard Weenie Hut General has the perfect treatment.

Mental pain on very different levels. It's worse than physical pain. Only people who experienced very intense and excruciating mental pain will understand me on this one. Others will say "naaah, physical pain is way worse than mental pain!". Right, just remember there are different levels, degrees and kinds of mental pain and different afflictions.

Are you talking about headaches so severe they make you vomit? Or are you talking about emotional anguish like when you're hearing the screams of your kid as he or she is burning alive inside your blazing house? For myself, I'd gladly choose the former over the latter.

By mental pain I mean afflictions like depression, anxiety, OCD and stuff like that. They take out all the happiness from your life and turn it into a living nightmare.
Comment has been collapsed.
Oh. Those things I've experienced. Depression so severe you can't hardly see your hand in front of your face? Anxiety so bad you burst into tears every other minute for no apparent reason? Regular impulses to throw yourself off the nearest cliff/step in front of the oncoming buss/put a bullet in your brain? OCD is a cakewalk compared to those. And I rather go through it all again than have to experience the scenario I mentioned earlier.
Comment has been collapsed.
Not quite. Depression so hard you don't see point in anything and you sleep half of every day just because you don't have to think about anything and it's pretty much better than thinking about whatever. Anxiety so severe you have panic attacks everywhere you go and you think everyone is out to get you. OCD, well, there's a lot of them. Hurt OCD, Pure O, responsibility OCD and others. And there are different degress of them as well. Some people just have a habit of checking everything twice and they are already all like "oh God, I have OCD, oh oh"... really? Really? They offend true OCD sufferers who are excruciated with OCD to the point they can't even lead normal lives anymore. I'm not even saying I have any of those (although I do have some) but I've had plenty of experience with them and with people who have/had them. I don't see a point in trying to prove what is worse because all of this sucks. And what you mentioned is definitely a different kind of pain. The pain of loss of loved ones.

I was circumcised when I was 11 years old. I don't know why my parents didn't just have it done when I was a kid, but anyway. After I was all stitched up, the hospital applied bandages, but they didn't use enough vaseline or whatever type of lubricant it was.
Things progressed normally for a few weeks until I healed, and then I was told to take off the bandages. The stiches themselves were supposed to disintegrate over time or something. So here's me, 11 years old, sitting in a bathtub, pulling bandages off of my cock. Sure enough, the stitches came right out. There was blood everywhere. I couldn't even cry because I was too stunned. I spent the rest of the night in the same shitty hospital that fucked up the bandages in the first place, and the nurse reprimanded me for flinching in pain as she tended to the wounds on my mangled penis.
Do I win the thread?

Oh, sincerely sorry about that, must have been horrible. Here. *gives you a penis-shaped trophy
Were you circumsized because it was a medical necessity or was it for some religous reason ?

Had the same happen to me when I was 14 (not the fucked up bandages though). But I was in shock when I started pissing blood 2 weeks after the circumcision, because during the circumcision some weaker tissue in my urinary tract was damaged. And thanks to that I ended up pissing blood and almost fainting because of the shock. Let me tell you, you just don't want to pee blood. I wanted to die right then and there.

Uhh lets see, I think it was around 7 or 8 years ago I was feeding my dog and it was a huge piece of meat, and somehow the way i was holding it he bit through the plate it was on and ripped the fingernail off my thumb. It was bleeding everywhere and it hurt pretty bad but, it grew back.

I can't recall just one experience, I had plenty... Getting 100% of achievements in Just Cause 2, Arkham City and Torchlight. It was a pain in the ass.
Other than that, some kind of pain in my chest, hurted like fuck for about 11 months without getting any better, after 2,5 years it just hurts. There's no conclusive thought what is it exactly.

This pain in your chest... when does it occur? I have something like this and it always hurts when I'm lying down for more than a few hours. Often when I wake up and then it hurts, especially when I take a deep breath. Doctors don't know what it is. The most accurate guess is that it's neuralgia (nerve pain).

My neurologist (well, the last one) said the same - that it could be neuralgia but the doctors I've met basically don't have any idea and sent me from one to another (and I tried pretty much everyone from psychologist to oncologist). After two MRIs neurologist said that 'the changes could result in that kind of pain', but nothing conclusive. Still, it was the biggest piece of information I aquired from any doctor after two years.
Just in my cause pain stays pretty much all the time despite circumstances. Right now I think about visiting rheumatologist since pain in my limbs also appeared, no idea if it's connected.

I understand. I was going to various doctors too and MRI showed nothing unusual so they have no idea what it is. But the last one I was to suggested it could be neuralgia and it probably is. It'd make sense I guess. Still, I got used to it and I don't even notice it anymore. It was the worst at the beginning, this discomfort, sometimes in the morning I had to get out of bed and walk it out because it hurt when I was lying in bed and was awake. But like I said - it doesn't bother me anymore because I don't even notice it, I just don't pay attention to it. I guess your situation is different if it hurts almost all the time. I'm sorry to hear that, I know it can be very painful and annoying.

100% of achievements in Just Cause 2? heh, try getting 100% in game, now that's (litteraly) impossible! :)
(mainly because there is a bug in the game and you can't get more than 99.95% completation without altering the game and fixing the missing items)

I've read abouit once I was going for achievements, I wouldn't like to be the first person who found about it ;).

aaand of course i end up hurting myself again xD
This time i was running with my dog and tried to out run him when i lost a shoe. Than there only was one way and that was down. Ended up with 9 huge bruises. 1 week after the crash they turned up yellow, and i still can't sleep on my left side XD
TL;DR
i should go sit on a chair and never move again XD
