Sounds like a cool idea. Shame I'm too obsessive to keep a short wishlist (too many potentially good indies I hope not to miss and much fear of missing out). I'll maybe reconsider later entering as a contributor.

Just out of curiosity, how do you keep track of users' wishlists?
Do you have a bot/script/else that does the job for you or you plan to periodically check 'em one by one all by yourself?

One by one. it's going to be a pita, but I've wanted a group like this for ages so I'm willing to put in the time. :)
That said if it becomes overwhelming I might need to look for an automated solution or limit the number of users.

imho the main problem is not allowing them into the group, is checking they don't add more than 100 games to their wishlist once they are inside.. if you do it manually you're bound to miss some.
Unless you do, let's say, one giveaway every 1-2-3 months.. in that case you may check "valid entries" only, perhaps ever ga creator could do the same. It's not perfect but seems a good tradeoff between having only fair users and your "sanity" =P
Asking 'cause I'm a bit worried it can turn to be a real chore based on how often you decide to check wishilists.. good luck though :)

I don't think it will be necessary to rely on any external tools like that, as I fully intend to write all the tools necessary myself.
Right now there are three scripts I've written to help manage the group:
- One to collect all members wishlists and the dates when each game was added to them, then saving it all to an XML file.
- One that reads the XML file and shows how many wishlisted games each member has
- And one that takes a games store page URL and from the XML returns all the members who have it wishlisted + when they wishlisted it.
Next will be one that collects the group members from each giveaway, and compares them to the XML data to make sure they had the game in their wishlist before entering. There are a few other things to write, but ultimately the goal is to tie it all together in a web page that anyone in the group can use.

Wishlisted 100 - Steamgifts giveaway group
Wishlisted100 is a group made for those who want to be sure their games are going to people who really want them. Members are only allowed to enter the groups giveaways for games on their wishlist, and their wishlist can not have more then 100 games on it.

Note: Group giveaways are not mandatory, and Multi-group giveaways are OK.
