IndieGala 3 soon?

Hey all

The IndieGala team has tweeted about their next bundle being sold. It's gonna be called....IndieGala 3, duh.
No info about it yet, but I hope it's gonna be cool :)

Depends, did they actually buy the keys or are they guaranteed up to 50k keys by the devs? If the second is the case then they don't need to actually sell all the keys.

Hmmm this is WEIRD, might be a trick to add more games and finally get rid of whatever they still have left in their Indie Gala Bundle 2. This is something I don't really like about IG - they are SO obscure....

They obviously overrate the popularity of their own bundles. They are throwing one sale like "happy hour" after another but they barely made it over half of the 50k bundle limit. (1st bundle 35k, 2nd bundle 25k). Soo next one maybe 15-20k unless they offer something better to counter the apparent saturation.

They sold just 45,654 bundles during the first Gala, and that was eight games with an average price of $1.75 or so.

if they didn't make the pricing structure the way they did, they may have sold out. every other bundle is more popular because they allow you to pay what you want. this is pay what we want you to.

Just for clarifying - Indie Royale has quite a steep minimum price. And those guys have not seen their purchases over 30k except may be for 1-2 times. Recent bundle with min. price of 5 USD sold only a little above 15k. I think this is a clear message to bundle creators.

indie royale is for 100% for profit, their price is justified.

Ah, ok. Well with Gala you could still pay more than they require and give it to charity. But in general, yeah, their tiered model does not seem to work that well.
And once again - from the start it was rather obscure - I purchased it without even knowing the price changes through time. I think all this obscurity creates a bad reputation for them that does not incentivise to purchase/pay more.
Blaming (trolling?) on forums to advertise also is not exactly a stellar solution.

This comment makes me think that the attitude that bundles with a charity component is not for profit will be the ruin of these bundles.
