I'm an earbud guy too, but I don't dare go that cheap. I've got a stockpile of Sony MDR-E9LP's and MDR-E10LP's. The E9's are kinda shit, but they're a lot cheaper and easy to find.

I am also an earbud user and my choice is Sennheiser MX-375. I think they have fantastic sound, the best I've had in button headphones. Even better than the previous Sennheiser ones I had but I don't remember their model.

Have you tried the MX-365's? My ears would prefer their straight line over the triangle shape.

I've always meant to try Sennheiser. Edifier too. Must have had both in the "saved for later" section of my amazon cart for close to a decade now.

I think the 365 might be my previous one, but afaik they're not distributed in Spain anymore.
You don't feel any triangle shape. There's only one point where that shape touches my ear and the shape is rounded there. I never noticed it, but it helps keeping the buds in place.
I just read a VS comparison and the 375 is better in everything by a bit, an enhancement over the previous model, and it's much much lighter. You don't notice the weight at all. OFC they're more expensive, but IMHO it's worth it. After trying them, I bought 2 more.
And if you get them through Amazon, and don't like them, refunding them is the easiest.

The Sony WH1000XM3 are my to-go when in the Pc, for the street I have the Samsung Galaxy Buds FE, and for the gym I just got the Skullcandy Crusher ANC 2, those have to be the "funniest" headphones I've ever had, I love music with big and punchy bass, an those literally make your head shake. I don't want to hear any medical advice (I won't be able soon anyway :p)

I have owned a pair of Beyerdynamics DT 770 Pro 80 Ohms for the last 8 years. I have replaced the earpads once, really liking the sounds from these closed headphones.

I pair them with a Hifime UAE23HD USB DAC which is supposed to be alright - I don't want a DAC taking up space on my desk.

On the go I use a pair of Sony WH-1000XM3 for studying and Apple Airpods Pro 2nd gen for when I am biking to school. It's insane how seamless the Airpods are.

I've gotten the impression that Beyerdynamics are a bit harsh on the treble, which is why I've considered none of their headphones. I personally use the FiiO K7 amp/dac.

Personally, I prefer bassy music so maybe it's a plus for me. But they are monitor headphones and should be pretty neutral atleast I guess

I have beyerdynamic DT 770 pros(80Ohm since I don't have other audio equipment other than a mic), very comfortable and I like the audio quality... but this is more entry level at the pro grades. I do find it funny how many full time YT'rs I recognize as using these when I got them.

I still own ancient Sennheiser HD598, replaces cable once, replaced earpads 3 or 4 times, aside from that - love them and will use them till they die. What I really need though is a new sound card, my old faithful Asus Xonar Essence is, well, old and has started to glitch from time to time.

On my head: Hifiman Sundara linked with a qudelix through balanced output.

On my desktop: Elac Debut 2.0 linked with a Fosi power amp.

In my ears: some cheapo Moondrop Chu IEMs which are awesome for the money, especially after adding some spinfits.

I am still missing the Sundara from my mid-fi lineup. I'm not sure I can justify it since I have the Edition XS. To my understanding, the Sundara have more treble and the XS already have plenty of treble for me.

Possibly a pinch of extra treble but still considered a neutral signature. I use an equaliser preset that is tailored for the Sheepskin earpads that I replaced the stock ones with, to keep them balanced.

Bought this headset because I was curious about planar tech. I don't think you are missing out, if anything, since the ones you have are amazing.

I am wary of even changing earpads because I am worried I cannot install the new ones :D

I actually paid 300€ for the Edition XS, and here the Sundara costs more.

Ha, yea, changing the pads are a pita, but it was time for a change so I was forced to.

I checked pricing, they are all over the place it seems. Edition xs is 499 on amazon, currently discounted to 269 making them 10 dollar cheaper than their listing of the Sundara. But in my country, the Edition xs is about 50 percent more expensive than Sundaras.

I own the hd6XX and thought I'd try the beyer 990s. Sadly they just don't compare.

I would have gotten the 6XX instead of the 650 but I just didn't wanna deal with the possible customs related payments.

I have a pair of entry level Audio-Technica ATH-M40x that I'm very happy with for the past 4 or 5 years. They're comfortable and audio quality is good. I've had to replace the ear pads after 2-3 years and the head band cover material has degraded a fair bit, but I figure most headphones will suffer from that eventually.

On my old headset, the wire inside the cord eventually broke from being flexed and was difficult to fix, so a little feature I like on the M40 is that the cord is detachable and replaceable. It also comes with both a straight cord and a curly type cord so you can use the kind you like and keep the other as a replacement.

I'll just throw my audiophile gear onto the mix. I'm not a huge audiophile, don't have the ears for it, but I'm buying for longevity and durability.

Got HiFiMan Sundara Open Back + Wired Moondrop Blessing 3 (+ Anker USB-C -> 3.5mm DAC). I also have a pair of Samsung Buds First Gen that I upgraded to the Moondrop as I wanted a pair of earbuds that didn't have dying batteries and then thrown out. Replaced the earcups on the Sundara and they're still going strong.

I'm always a fan of high-end repairable peripherals. I don't intend on upgrading any of my PC or audio peripherals anytime soon. They're all set to be easily repaired.

I'm on my second pair of Sennheiser 599-SE and I'm going to be sticking with these for the forseeable future. Gotta love that clarity, and on sale the price is perfect. I've never needed a soundcard or any extras as they're easy enough to be driven by a decent motherboard on its own, and the sound clarity and comfort is great. I'm sure there will be better cans out there but I honestly don't feel the urge to fork out to experiment with other sets.

Though for those who are still trying to find their first set and trying to move away from distorted overdriven bass, shrieking tinny treble and such, I usually suggest the original HyperX Cloud. They've got a particularly dark sound that needs a bit of adjustment, but the bass is at least clear and not overwhelming, while also being a very comfortable set, and having the good old integrated microphone for gaming. A fun listen once you adjust to the balance of the bass, maybe not a very accurate set for fine listening but good for games. That was my gateway up to the Sennheiser 599-SE so I usually suggest it. There have been newer models since the original HyperX Cloud with various novelties like faux in-ear surround-sound that I can't really speak to, but I'm sure the original Clouds must go for a very easy price these days.

I'm not a big Audiophile, I just like good gear even though I don't always use it..
I have a pair of Shure SRH840, which I've used for over 10 years. Replaced cable and pads, and they are still great.
My external Soundcard recently broke, since I've often had problems with static noise without an external Soundcard, I was looking at USB Headsets and found one on sale for just 10€, it's the Patriot Viper V380 Gaming Headset, it's quite bassy but not that bad! ^^ I've been using it a lot recently.
Other than that I also have the Sony WH1000XM3 and Airpods pro.
I'm planning to get some decent IEM soon, looking at Sennheiser IE 200 or Shure SE215 at the moment.
