Can I get duplicates of games I already own?
Short answer: No duplicates! You'll only get games you don't already own.Long answer: No duplicates, unless you already own every single game available in the Piñata pool at the time of your purchase. If you already have all the games, you'll be notified before checking out and your mystery game will be converted into a giftable copy – this code will never expire.
And
I got a giftable, duplicate Piñata without warning – now what?
This can occur if you've added more Piñatas to your cart than you were missing from the Piñata pool. If this happens, don't worry – you're eligible for a full or partial refund.
If this happened to you, please contact our support team.

The Masquerade Redemption is old but really great. Just saying in case you never played it :)
But sure, since they sold it for 1.39 euros last month and 0.79 in june, I wouldn't say it's a great deal...

Though good list of games but half of them already given for free by GOG. This is not at all sitting right with me. You should contact GOG I guess.

GOG are one of the few people that ever got mystery games right. The other ones being the Humble Monthly due to the quality and price of entry, and a tentative third place for Indiegala because while their quality is drastically lower, the blind gamble lowers the price for the 'preorder' and you can still buy it after the reveal.

What is the chance to get somthing good? They don't say in the FAQ.

$33 for 1 pretty good ,1 wishlisted and a whole lot of meh is a big gamble.

I bought one piñata and got Cossacks 3, an RTS from 2016 that retails for 20 USD, but I never play RTS so it will just rot, sadly. But I mostly bought it to support GOG.
Then I bought another. Kyn. It's a game I never would have bought (because backlog), but it's nice to have it in my library and maybe I'll take it for a spin someday.
So that's three piñatas I've bought the past two years, and three RTS/RPG type games (last year I got Aarklash: Legacy).

If you like RTS. ;)
I feel badly-- three perfectly good games but probably not one's I'd play. Maybe Kyn someday.

Enter the Gungeon? That's a really good game, if that's what you got.

Why people buy into this sort of purchasing is beyond me. It's almost guaranteed to be something you either have, don't want, or just objectively outright sucks.
The odds of getting something you want, or wouldn't mind playing are very slim. I especially don't get the people who buy multiple things. You might as well spend those money for something you know you want instead.

That was 80% of my reason. 20% for fun/excitement/shi*ts&giggles.

I'm all for supporting something, but why not just buy actual games you want from there then? It's not like all of them are expensive. Hell, there are even quite a few games on sale right now. You'll "support" them, and get a game you actually want to play.

You seem to have missed my original statement. The odds are you'll get either something you already have, don't want, and/or that objectively sucks. The chances of getting a legitimately good game that you want, or even just a decent game you'd play are so incredibly slim, you'd be better off just buying a game you know of in advance instead of throwing money away.
That's what I don't understand. That whole mentality of throwing money at odds like that. Just take a look at the list of games. And at their previous such ventures.
I mean you can obviously do whatever the hell you want with your money, but I still don't understand that mentality.

I know there's no accounting for taste, but that's just objectively not true @lowest quality game from gog is still somewhat decent. Bad games exist there as well.
And you seem to miss the whole point. I wasn't disputing there was a chance to get something you'd want, but the odds are so incredibly low, it's essentially throwing money away. Like playing the lotto if you will, though here we're talking about games, where you can spend the same amount and get a decent game you want instead on a sale.
I can feel we won't get anywhere though.

I really don't do GOG much any more, apart from rare occasions - I'd rather have new games on Steam.
So I knew better, but I bought one anyway. Because maybe! And I got Spellforce Platinum, a perfectly good game that I already own on Steam.
It's also currently $2.99 in the GOG store, a penny cheaper than the $3.00 I spent on the pinata. Like I said, I knew better. /shrugs

Every time GOG has some sale, I'm excited. I really don't remember when it was last time when Steam had something like that.
I got Memoranda, very nice!
Edit: Got one more today & got Republique. 2 tries & 2 wishlisted games, I'm very happy.

Got Spellforce Platinum and Armikrog, what curently sells in my region for 1.09$ and 0.67$ :-\

You shouldn't have had to pay $3 though did you? I think they are like $1.50 or so USD equiavlent in Russia region on GOG for Pinatas. Doesn't GOG have regional pricing for Ukraine also?
Here in China, they are like $2.25.
