Also, wow, a SE lasted you for 10 years? I used to love their phones but they kept having random issues after a year or two of use:
- k300: stopped charging the battery.
- z520: one day decided that it would no longer read the sim card (got it replaced via warranty).
- z550: still alive somehow, currently in a drawer somewhere.
- w508: the external screen died (got it replaced via warranty), the second one's external screen also eventually died.
I gave up and stopped buying their phones after that.

Mine barely functions but still does somehow ;). I should have purchased new battery years ago, for one. I have to keep charging it dayly or even more often if I use it. Which becomes problematic - there's an ongoing issue with charging (sometimes it doesn't charge at all even with new different charger, I tried cleaning the port but didn't help). From time to time I'm unable to turn it on at all. For few months I couldn't reliably turn it on so I just kept charging it before battery was depleted completely :D. Few times I missed it by minutes and then had to wait hours or in one instance couple of days before I could get it working again.

A friend of mine who also liked SE had a w300 that had a problem like what you described, he ripped the plug out of the charger and conected the wires straight to the battery to solve it XD
Needless to say the phone didn't last that long with that arrangement, he did bought another SE after that (can't remember which model) but also runned into the random "your screen died for no apparent reason" issue so he also gave up on the brand.

Huh. I just noticed a little cake next to my nickname which means it's been another year here for me. I'm not as active as I once was both in gaming and giveaway-creating so here's something appropriate from my wishlist for you (level 2).
At least I finally got myself a smartphone after 10 years using my SE k800i so idling trading cards is an option again.
