I'm actually living just far enough north (Rouyn-Noranda) that I wasn't affected by the snow storm. So while you guys were battling with massive amounts of snow, we were enjoying some beautiful sunny days up here.

Yeah, I live on the south rive of Montreal (in Chateauguay), so I also found it rather weird that there was more snow here than in the north. Well hopefully it was the last big snowfall of the year, but the weather has been so weird this year...

I've been feeling the same too, I've basically had a cold from mid-november to mid-january, it just wouldn't go away. I've kept having the feeling it was almost done, but no it just kept on going. I've found myself being a lot less active on SG also. I've missed quite a few milestones lately... I'm sdtarting to feel better the last week though, so I'm thankful for that:) Glad to hear you are also feeling better. Congrats on the milestone and thank you for all the great GAs!!!

Glad you are feeling better! I stave off seasonal allergies by taking small amounts of bee pollen (very small to start if you are already allergic). It works for me. That was good advice to go outside especially if your house is super insulated as that can get toxic in winter.

I did some night fishing yesterday with my friend. It was a full moon, so it was pretty easy to navigate the boat and to see the fish underwater. We caught a bunch of different fish. Later in the evening we caught a long, snakelike fish. We weren't sure what it was. He held it up in the moonlight so I could see it better, and the moonlight was shining very brightly on the snakelike fish and my friend's face. That's when I figured out what it was. I said:

I've seen people around here that are way older than me, and that made me glad and disappointed at the same time.Glad to see that people much older than me are still enjoying their gaming and this community, and disappointed that I wasn't the elder of SG.

Here's a Huzzah! for all your milestones. It's easy to put some of those things on the "I'll get right to it list" only to see that that list was filled out a week or more ago. :) It's good to hear things are improving and you've shaken the cold. Birthday bump, cake edition.
It was my older daughter's birthday last week, but she spent it with her friends. (She's 20 after all) So this weekend she came home and I made her an oversized Oreo cookie cheesecake. Normal-sized Oreo cookie on the side for comparison)
They also took the occasion to celebrate my birthday and my 14 year old daughter made me a very nice cake as well.

Hello people of Steamgifts.
I've been feeling a bit down lately. I've been tired, sufferend from a never-ending cold that that kept coming back everytime it seemed like it was ending (from mid december through the end of february), and feeling a little bit blasé about things in general. Some of you may have noticed that I was a lot less present in the forums as of late. (Most days I simply checked the deals section and be done with it.)
Fortunately, it's getting better. The cold is finally gone, I'm starting to work again on personal projects, going to work feels less like a chore and I'm starting to entertain the idea of getting back on the threadmill. (Which, honestly, would help a lot in getting my energy levels up. Classic case of chicken and egg... feeling to tired to consider doing the one thing that would utlimately help me feel better.)
So, in the last few weeks, I kinda saw a couple of milestones come and go and didn't really act on them.
On february 27th, it was my 5 years cake day on Steamgifts. I was originallly planning on doing some kind of event for it but completely forgot and only realized that the fated day had come because of a few people wishing me a happy cake day. I thought about doing something but I had nothing ready, so I said I'd do something on the weekend. I didn't.
Then, some time at the beginning of last week, I noticed that I had crossed the 7k games threshold in my Steam library. I usually make some celebratory thread for those, but it was late, I was tired and once again I had nothing prepared. So I figured once again that I'd do something on the weekend when I would have more time. Well, this is the weekend in question and this time I managed to write this thread.
I grabbed a few games for you and made some giveaways, because I know you all like those. They all end on April 3rd, which also happen to be my 43rd birthday. I hope you find some enjoyment in them.
