Inverted Space, lots of what ifs

What if...

  1. Kids were taught spirituality in schools.
  2. Scientists and doctors couldn't be bought out by large corporations looking to make a profit.
  3. In order to provide news one must give full source/proof (nasa/usa) or the article will be taken down and disregarded by the society as a whole.
  4. Sex wasn't glorified in popular culture leading to people seeking cheap thrills such as strip joints or left wanting it.
  5. Commercials/ads were illegal except in its own space/property
  6. Strangers treated strangers like brothers even protecting their lives in danger.
  7. Money wasn't desirable to poor or rich type of people.
  8. The Word Science was never created and knowledge took its place.
  9. Respect took place over anything that causes war.
  10. The American Dream or any dream of a human was to be the best person they can be.

Can you answer some of these?

  1. Oh my, where to start. Do you mean in addition to actual knowledge, or exclusively spirituality? I assume "in addition to". Well, there'd be a lot of lawsuits and outrage from athiests and non-majority spiritualistic people. I'd probably start swearing a lot more.
  2. Research wouldn't be funded very well
  3. 95% of current reporters would be fired on the spot, the number of TV news stations would be halved at least, and news would be delivered much more slowly.
  4. Explain an evolutionary path that does not glorify sex. Then I'll answer.
  5. Ummm... not sure what you mean by this, but if you mean "you can only advertise your products on space you personally own", then you can kiss the internet, TV, Radio, and a variety of other services goodbye.
  6. World would be a better place. Society overall would improve.

  8. What? Well without science, or the scientific method, we'd have a SIGNIFICANTLY smaller pool of knowledge. As in, we'd be using leeches to cure problems with the humors. I guess technological advancement would take place, but without the scientific method driving it, it'd be haphazard and more prone to random chance than anything we would do ourselves.
  9. No more war...?
  10. The best assassin, the best drug lord, and the best pimp would all be much more proud of who they were

^ a few of those were leading questions, where there's only one reasonable answer (see #9, #6), but I did my best to make up soundbyte answers for the rest.
