I guess I'm in between. I tend to play a lot and I enjoy it, I like to share my excitement and I like games of all kinds, but I play to relax and have fun, not to challenge myself, or proof how good I am (and I'm not :p but that doesn't make it any less fun).
I can spend hundreds of hours in Final Fantasy (on console, I still need to collect my beloved games on Steam) and complete EVERYTHING (because when it comes to FF, I'm kind of hardcore O.o), while in other games, I'm totally fine ignoring collectibles and achievements, sometimes I don't even finish them immediately and might, or might not, come back later to do so.
I prefere to play cooperative over competitive and I like to play with likeminded people. Of course it's nice to be successful and not fail over and over, but my most memorable dungeon run in an MMO, the one I remember until this day, was one were we wiped because we were laughing so hard. We weren't efficient, but we had fun and we still finished the boss and got out loot. Of course, it took us longer than those die hard pro gamers, but It was still one of the best evenings I had in this game.
Well, I hope you don't mind that I shared some more thoughts ^^ and that I got off the track a bit.

Tommorow (23.04) it will be my first anniversary here (aka cake day), so I prepared a short train for you.
(1-3 Level 1, 4-7 level 2) Giveaways will end 25th April 6pm Central Europe time.
I hope, I didn't mess anything up. This is the first train I made.
If I'm correct, I'll also reach level 6 when giveaways end.
I'm glad I discovered this site a year ago and meet such generous and positive people.
