In September : back to Rome, moar exams
October: I found another cheap airline ticket --> off to Andalusia.
And I met a guy I'm dating now.

Ma basta con l'OT, prima che qualcuno si altera.

-January, looking for dinosaur bones, found some, but nothing worth mentioning.
-February, still looking for bones, found a rock layer with fossilized fish bones/teeth, turtle shell, shark/crocodile teeth and some other stuff.
-March, found a place with a lot of fossilized sea urchin, found 7 different species, but no new ones.
-April, found a place with algae/sea โโsponges/corals mineralized in silicates.
-May, found a galena vein and some nice quartz crystals.
-June, had a math exam, failed, (not the first time) i'm 22 now, still have 12ยบ year done without math, wanted to go to geology. feelsbadman
-July, went back to one of my favorite quartz quarry, found a 120kg/265lbs quartz druse and some smaller ones ( also a really nice geode)
-August, went back to a place with trilobite/worm tracks, found some really good and rare ones, i think i have 2 that aren't identified yet.
-September, same trilobite track place, ( my trilobite track collection has probably more than 2 tons of rocks by now).
-October, went trilobite hunting, found some ones from the silurian and some from the ordovician, also found some cool looking whelks.
-November, found my best quartz pocket ever yey, also found out i can do a special 23 year+ exam for geology next year!!
-December, if everything goes as planned, going back for the dino bones.

I'm not a really big picture taker while i am rock hounding, nevertheless here's my small "museum" and a few random pictures, some small trilobite tracks , the 120kg quartz (still not cleaned :V) one of the places with dino bones (beach) and a small place with a few trilobites.
Anything in particular that you wold like to see? i can try to dig up some more pics or i can shoot some of the stuff i own.

Firstly congratulations on your faterhood!!!
If everything goes right, i will start studying geology next year. I'm from Portugal, its a small country but has a lot of different stuff to be found! For now, i only went rockhounding in Portugal, but i'v bought some pieces from other places. Its a funny hobby :D

Congrats on your fatherhood mate.
Jan-Jun: Second year of therapy (Agoraphobia). Slow steps. Mildly optimistic.
Jul: I found an online mini-job. This is big for me. I feel useful again after a long time and have a little bit of money.
Oct: Big step at therapy. Now, I go to my doc's office for sessions. After a few weeks, I became less anxious doing so.
Overal, it was a good year and I hope next year there will be bigger positive steps.
Maybe, I'll find a non-online job in my town. Or I'll even visit other cities nearby. It has been many years. One can dream.

I hope you can overcome that situation, it's great for you to find an occupation where you can do focus on other things. Good for you, happy weekend :)

January - Crush stuff, passed most of it crying, fighting with and losing friends.
February - Tried to talk with online people, I can't hold a conversation after all.
March - Started playing Divinity: Original Sin 2 with my leftover friends.
April - Had a fight with my leftover friends, DOS2 started it, but many other things were from the past.
May - I decided to end relationship with my best friend as it was a toxic relationship ever since we tried to "make up".
June - Lots of sleepless nights, nightmares, anxiety attacks. I also can't seem to find work.
July - Decided I should start playing games again and avoid reality, re-started League of Legends. Still no work.
August - I'm close to giving up working, no one seems to hire for short term, I guess I'll start/continue college this year.
September - Started college, really like my physics class, but the whole classroom and friends thing is awkward (the ones I lost in January were from my class). I really am trying to barely attend classes as it's very stressful.
October - Somewhat getting used to going to class, made friends with my physics teacher and operating systems teacher.
November - Mostly my midterms, really. I don't know what to play (as a game), or to watch a TV series, well, in any case nothing gives pleasure anymore, and nothing will probably change positively at this point, bound to end up alone, I've low key given up pretty much.
December - ??? Probably another shitty month.
Well, congratulations on (soon to) being a father, graduation and giveaway!

Hmm, I don't believe so. Starting back on college was somewhat neutral to me as it both helped pass the time easier, also made the college time very stressful. And besides that like I mentioned, I'm friends with two of my teachers now, so we talk time to time, that's a positive one. I have only two friends left, which both are busy with work/study so I can't really spend time with them, either. Mostly trying to pass time by sleeping (nowadays 12-16 hours a day).

T_T sorry to hear that. I don't what to say but 12-16 hours per day is a lot of sleeping. I'm no professional but I've heard it might be related to depression.
I would strongly recommend working out. I've my ups and downs but whenever I feel sad I go out for either a run or go out cycling. It always makes me happy, yeah it's only for a short time but it's something.

That much sleep is likely to just make you more lethargic. Try to limit yourself to 8.5 hours, and find something to do with the extra time. Study, play games, join a college club, do something. I know you may not feel like doing anything, but you can push through that, and I think you would feel better once you do and are being active in some form.

It was a hard year for you, anyway I hope you can find a new motivation for the next year, probably you need to feel better before that. If you lost some friends this year because you consider that it was the best it's okay because you are thinking in you, but if you feel that it was wrong and probably it was caused by nonsense I think you can try to fix that situation.
My best wishes for next month :)

Not much, unfortunately.
Congrats for your achievements anyway and thanks for the train.

First I want to say it's really nice idea to share with us your year and I'm really happy for you.
I hope it will be nice if I share mine.
Well 2018 so far was really good with a small letdown for my heart :D. Really got into sports: Road cycling and Running. Gave myself a rest in the summer because I pushed myself to get as many scholarships as possible (didn't work unlike almost of my colleagues).
So far my total km running is: 512.6km +/- 20km app broke couple of times. Cycling: 1 205,7km. My Strava acc, would be happy if anyone follows me
For 2019 I hope I will do my first Half Marathon (21km) with reasonable time and no stops during the race.

so you coming to madrid huh? I'm from Spain but from Seville, may visit you in your Erasmus then :) (doubt it xD)
I did Erasmus+ in Poland and it was pretty good, Madrid is the best place (in the whole Spain) to do Erasmus+ and more if you we are talking about IT stuff because is where the best companies place themselves, so good luck!
How come you have time to study and play (if you do)? I'm studying for sysadmin and I rarely play one to two hours a week, had to sold my ps4 but still have a good pc to consume time.

I'm studying Information and Computer engineering and I play during the semesters but not much, between 10-30 hours (for 2 weeks). Depends on how much I need to do. Maybe my university isn't so good and we have more free time, I can't make a difference since I haven't study in another university or another country.
I hope my Erasmus to be a good experience, the only thing that bothers me a lot is how I'm going to manage my finances, because in UNED there is no dormitory (I had hopes for dormitory, because it's cheap). Now I have to find a flat(room) and since I'm going alone I don't know where to search for it. They send me couple of online sites for renting services but almost all offer a single room for 250 euro which is almost the half of my grand.
Also never met a SG member in person, but if you have a way to Madrid I will be glad to meet :D

Hi guys, this time I have done this train because I want to celebrate with everybody this great year before it ends.
My year in some lines:
In January of this year, I finished a practice of my degree that I was doing in another city near mine, so I returned to my city in that month. I had finished all the subjects and the practice, so I needed to finish the English course that was a requirement to be graduated. I needed to finish the last 3 courses.
From February to March I was studying English because I needed to pass if I wanted to be graduated.
From April to May I was studying another level, at this moment I was needed to do only one more.
From April to September I was working in the Census in my country.
In June I was doing the last English course.
In August I found out that I am going to be a father of a little boy, that is new for me... my first child and I'm so happy.
In September I graduated as a systems engineer. I started to study on Platzi because I want to get more knowledge.
Since I graduated I was trying to find a job, but there aren't many opportunities when you don't have much experience, anyway some days ago I was contacted by a good company in which I presented a test one year and a half ago and I will start working in January there.
I know that this year it's not finished and I hope December be a nice month for me, we are going to do a baby shower for my child and anyway it's December, time to share with family.
What about yours?
Train Train Train
Update:
Sorry if I haven't answered more questions in this post, but I don't have enough time lately, because on November 20th my son was born. I'm so happy because I'm with him now, but he is a premature baby and he was born with 25 weeks, at the moment he is stable, but he is in a neonatal intensive care unit because he needs to be in an incubator. It's not easy to go every day and see your little child there, but I hope he can be okay soon, Manuel Alejandro needs to maturate a little more.
His little feet here if you want to watch a pic ;)
Thanks for the support in this thread.
