I was meant to make a train, but I can't seem to focus properly anymore and I'm afraid I'd make mistakes, so you just get all the links right here.
Don't worry lots of people prefer lists or charts anyway because you don't have to click through a 300 car train to find out if there's something that peaks your interest ;)

with ESGST, you don't have to worry about going through the train from star to end manually
(but you have to turn Train Giveaways Extractor first)

Thanks for the heads-up :) I haven't tried that feature yet.
I have ESGST installed but I had to turn it off a few month ago because I was getting error messages every time I open the giveaway page.
Edit: Seems it got fixed by now :)

Thanks :) I always thought it's peaks like raise but I was probably thinking of mountain tops :D
I've been saying it wrong for years.

So it derives from the medieval weapon and not from peak as in the highest point. Got it :)
If you don't mind me asking do you write Belletristik (apparently this word doesn't exist in english and the closest aproximation would be fiction but it does not exclusively include fiction but rather every book aimed to entertain) or are you more of a technical writer like talgaby ?
Comment has been collapsed.
Not to sound flippant, but I write whatever I wish to write. Prose, poetry, screenplays, dramas, news articles and technical pieces, I have no limit in style, genre, or format. My preferred genre for writing is fictional, short stories, followed by poetry, with that last being a bit odd when you consider that poetry is my least favorite genre to read.

Interesting.
I'm not a huge fan of poetry neither. In my opinion it puts style over substance.

+1
Not to mention it is MUCH easier to make a list than a train.

I'm sorry to hear that, I hope that person is doing ok.
I have heard of EMDR, yes, but there's no free support for my condition where I live and I barely have enough money to pay the bills and my psychiatrist's already seen me twice without getting any pay for it, so... I mostly just try to ride it through until I feel a little better again. And then the cycle repeats.
Thank you for your comment :)

Focus on the future, living, and those around you. That's my drive. Give it a try.

PTSD sucks. Just remember to reach out to others. There are many, many things you can do to help you deal with past trauma, and some of them will surely help.
Comment has been collapsed.
I wish there was more I could do to help, but it really is "all in your head," and you are the only one who has access to your head. If you are religious, I would remind you to pray.

I was getting help at one point, but then I ran out of my savings and there's no free support for my condition where I live and my psychiatrist's already seen me twice without getting any pay for it. I'm trying my best, though. Thank you for your kind words :)

My step-dad suffered from PTSD. We as kids were afraid to wake him up in the morning, lest we get accidentally hit.
It's some serious stuff. I hope you're able to get some help dealing with it, even if it's just friends and family.
Best wishes to you, Wolf, and hope you feel better soon.

I'm so sorry to hear that, I'm sure it couldn't have been easy, growing up like that. And yeah, I have some pretty violent night terrors and even hallucinations, but thankfully, other than waking up screaming and/or disoriented, I never actually hit anyone. I don't think I'd ever forgive myself if I did, even though it wouldn't really be my fault.
Thank you so much for your kind words :)

I know this is going to sound crazy, and our situations aren't even remotely similar (just prefacing this LOL)
I have trouble sleeping (racing thoughts and sometimes depression from that), and used to sleep on average about 2-3 hours/day. I took someone's advice on a whim and started watching/listening to ASMR videos on Youtube before crashing. They relax me enough that I can actually sleep longer now and get better rest, and they calm my nerves during the day as well. I have NO idea if this will be of any use to you at all, but I figured it can't hurt much either.
Anyway, here's a link to my favorite ASMR channel if you're interested - https://www.youtube.com/user/GentleWhispering
Again, best of luck to you, man.

I know the feeling... I've not slept more than 4 hours a day (at best) in almost 20 years, every time I fall asleep I end up having the same nightmare, every single time. I've tried pretty much anything you can think of, including ASMR videos, but sadly I can't fall asleep if there's any noise/sound whatsoever (I have to use noise cancelling headphones just to get any rest).
Thank you so much for the recommendation though, I've not tried this particular channel yet, so... can't hurt to give it a shot.
All the best in life to you :)

I hope you can get help to leave behind those bad memories. Have you tried reading? You keep your mind busy in the topic and there is room left for other stuff.

Ah man, that sucks :(
I know there is a lot of ongoing research to help those with PTSD that you might want to look into. Here's an article that was just published on the subject: https://www.reddit.com/r/worldnews/comments/6x50nl/ecstasy_was_just_labelled_a_breakthrough_therapy/

Wow, I'm sorry to hear you haven't been feeling well. I'm in no way a psychiatrist or even know anything about PTSD, so I cannot offer advice. I can offer you my company, however. If you feel like just chatting or something, add me/comment on my profile. I'm not super talkative and I feel like I can sometimes seem a bit uninterested, but that's because I'm a bit of a socially awkward person (serious discussions don't work too well for me over chat messages). In any case, I do like to listen (or in this case, read) and discuss various topics if you need anyone for that.
Cheers, I hope you'll get better soon!

Thank you for the offer. I'm not very good at chatting either, or any social stuff for that matter. Used to be ok at it, but I've grown isolated over the years, since the whole PTSD thing kicked in. I do wish you all the best in life, though :)

I understand - I wish you the best in any case. If you ever reconsider, you know where to find me. ^^

Anytime. :)
I saw you mentioning that you were isolated and unable to visit with your therapist. If you don't mind me asking, what are you doing to keep your mind occupied? Gaming is one good way as it gives you something to focus on, so you're definitely at the right place being on here.

On my free time I read a lot, I write (I actually have a degree in screenwriting and creative writing), I watch movies and/or TV series, listen to music and of course, play games. Basically anything that keeps my brain busy and from going down a dark memory lane...
I also go for runs when I'm not feeling too poorly.
Comment has been collapsed.
I also have both of those, but I still mostly just use an old version of Final Draft I never got around to re-subscribe to (mostly cause it's expensive and I can no longer afford it ^^), so it's probably lacking a ton of new features, but I just got used to it, I guess.

Thanks for sharing your stories with us... I hope you get well soon...
Don't be afraid to make mistake, we're all still learning for lifetime ^^
I'm even still typing with my strange english XD

Please don't apologize! You are making a lot of really nice giveaways (I love HOGs!), and I think you're being very generous. I don't care if it's a bundled game or a AAA game, it can still be fun either way.
Thank you for all the giveaways.:)

I can give you some games to giveaway if you would like :D

My PTSD has been hitting really hard again as of late and I'm also super broke right now, but still wanted to keep giving at least a little something to the steamgifts community, so there you go. I hope you'll forgive that these are all incredibly cheap gifts (these probably shouldn't actually count towards CV, if I'm being honest).

A big thank you to the community for always being here; I don't really write much, but I have fun just browsing the discussions when I feel poorly.
