If you're talking playing with touch, the main problem is right clicks. If the game doesn't need them, you're fine. If it does, it may be workable but not fun. If it requires keyboard input, that would be even more of a problem. There was a utility called GestureWorks Gameplay that allowed defining virtual controllers, but it's no longer available for purchase.

Regarding performance, you should be able to play low requirement games without problem.

DO NOT DO IT. I have a Windows 8 tablet. It is horrible. A lot of apps don't run on Windows 8 any more, like Netflix. Unless you can upgrade to Windows 10, which I cannot because I wasn't using it at the time and didn't upgrade in time, it is not worth wasting your money.
