Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, we truly need him nowadays ...

And I think you underestimate the importance of knowledge, it takes a lot of time even for a great genius to master maths. They would be like children. Also Einstein had a chance to find the answer to the string theory and he failed, why would it be different today?

I'm not sure I'd choose to resurrect anyone. Most of the people who I would feel deserve a second chance at life died in such terrible ways I'm not sure they'd necessarily appreciate the "favor", and besides, I don't feel comfortable with that amount of power.

Robin williams, if it would also cure the ailments that caused him to take his own life...
Otherwise I would pick billy mays.

I would wait until my mom dies and if she does before she meets her grandchildren (that would be in a very long time from now) then I would resurrect her. If she dies after that then I would save that in case anybody else really close to me dies and I still want them here because I'm that selfish.

Where did you got that I haven't met her? o.O I live with her.... and I have done so my whole life....
And even if that was the case, there are people that haven't met their mother but know who she is or that she's alive somewhere (because someone else told them).

He may be asking that because the thread clearly specified not closed relatives.

Exactly as MaxThunder said, it was in the headpost: no relatives or other people you know personally, because it's the obvious answer.
Yeah, there are such people, but it sounds really strange when they want to resurrect their mother instead of, you know, meeting her in person while she's still alive.

TheBeastDam: you might want to mention in your post to not include blatant plot spoilers as it's against site guidelines.

I haven't seen any spoiler in any post so far and I don't see any reason someone would spoil anything by answering this question. I don't mind editing the topic, I just want to understand the way someone could spoil anything.

Just be sure to keep an eye on him and don't let him roam alone (especially if you live in a city with alot of different cultures), it could get awkward

H.G. Wells.
I'd like to see what one of the first hard sci-fi authors would come up with, once they've adjusted to our age.
Also keep in mind that most of the concepts behind his classic works are still relevant today.

Hitler of course! So he would start new war, all people kill each other and then cats would inherit the world!

If you'd been given the power to resurrect 1 person, whom you haven't ever met (meaning not close relatives), who would you choose and why?
Some may answer Einstein or other great minds of the past, but bear in mind that these minds will "wake up" in an entirely different world from what they are used to.
Personaly I would resurrect Tolkien to continue his work of Middle-Earth (although he might decide to destroy it after seeing the movies, it's a risk :D).
I am curious to see weird and unexpected answers.
Edit: Pls don't spoil any content of any movie or book.
