I am studying Architect, and I don't dare to trust 90% of pics of rooms and houses, those sellers are experts in making the space way bigger without actually editing the picture at all. And don't get me started on square meters and dimensions.

Lemme' guess... 'The colour of the paint makes the room look bigger or smaller'. I get told that a lot and it doesn't make sense. I think there's also a technique with how you place the furniture in regards to the angle you take the picture at(I'd assume that you shouldn't take a picture of an outwards jutting corner).

Just one of many techniques, and yes, the color of the room affects HEAVILY, I didn't believe it either. Painting a very organized and lacking in furniture part of a room of a stronger color makes it look like it has so much more space it's ridiculous.
That second one is true as well, make it look like the entire sofa is separated from the wall (when actually, only the part closer to the camera is), give the composition some integrity, and it looks like the room is half a meter wider.
There are other ways, like photographing it from a bit lower point of view and also removing some things that might give you an actual, countable sense of measurement.
Also, mirrors and putting some single, smaller than average stuff, like really small forks and other details, since the photos trend to be empty of pretty much everything, those make wonders.

A guy was selling a cheap stolen phone on the street to my brother. But since you go to jail if police caught you doing so, the guy handle him the phone in a bag, when he got home he realised the guy swapped bags and gave him a soap. Hope he learned his lesson. He had his most expensive bath that day.

That is part of the scam. The bag has a tight knot and by the time you manage to untie it while getting away from there as fast as possible, the guy is long gone.

I thought I had been scammed by Amazon, got a Microsoftpoints code that didn't work, they sent me another one after explaining my issue...
It turned out it didn't work because of the region of my account, changed the region and could redeem BOTH codes, so in the end I ended up with twice the amount of codes.
That's the closest thing I can recall being a scam in my real life, sorry...

Oh, that's awesome. Too bad it isn't steam wallet money. :P

Still got me all The Walking Dead Season 1 Episodes and all the DLC for Mass Effect 3, can't complain. ^^

So... in a way, you actually scammed Amazon? That's funny.

I bought a brand new sealed PS3 game from Future Shop, when I opened it there was just a clear filler disc in there. Not a real disc. Took it back to the store, they didn't believe me. Probably what happened was someone bought it, took the disc and replaced it with a DVD spindle protector blank, used a shrink wrap machine to reseal it and returned it to the store.

Rather a website on which you have to certify that you are over 18.

Yeah. Bought a car, had right papers, registration, whole history, insurance etc. Was driving it for 1.5 year until some asshole ran into me totaly destroying it. When I wanted to collect insurance it turned out that Serial numbers were faked and real serial numbers were of a reported stolen car. Someone somewhere in the past faked serial numbers to sell stolen car. Police claimed that after such a long time it's untraceable who and when faked it. I ended up without insurance money (insurance was for car with different numbers), without car wreckage I could sell for parts (as it was stolen goods and was taken from me) and what's even more absurd I had to fight in court for almost 2 years against original owner of stolen car (he wanted money from me for wrecking a car). All in all I lost ~3-3.5k $ and shitload of time going to police, court, lawyer etc.
The funniest part about it? Right before buying a car I went to Police station to make sure that there's everything fine with it's legal status. They checked numbers, history etc, didn't realize numbers were faked and told me everything is fine and I can buy it without worries.

Damn Zelgh, that was a scam + bad luck. But why the original owner wanted the money? Didn't get that.

well, according to polish law if you buy/get, even if cheated into, stolen goods and it's found out, you're legally bound to return them for free to the rightful owner - then you may try to get your money back in court from person who sold them to you. The argumentation here from rightful owner and insurance company was that thieves stole car from him, what was returned to him from me was a wreckage, so they wanted me to pay difference in price between car and wreckege, because due to their argumentation when found out car was stolen I was legally obliged to return working car, not a wreckage.

Here is another, there are people "working" near parking lots who offer replacing the rubber of your car window seal for $4.00 per feet, but since we use the metric system, most people don't know how many feet are needed to finish the job and they won't tell you (that is the scam here). So, by the time you get back to your car, you end up with a bill of $30 to $40 depending of the car.

Everyone gets scammed to one degree or another daily. Whether you are aware of the scam is another thing.

Sure. After I left school and was unemployed for a while I saw a notice in a shop window that said something along the lines of "Earn money working from home, send a self addressed envelope with stamp to such-and-such address".
I had heard of people working from home stuffing leaflets into envelopes, that sort of thing and thought it might be similar.
Anyway, they wrote back and asked me to send £5 for them to hook me up with the details of how to earn. I sent it and what I got back was them saying that what I should do is to place advertisements in shop windows telling people they can earn from home. When they write I should ask for £5 and when they send it I should tell them that they should place advertisements in shop windows that say people can earn from their home......and it was supposed to go on in some big loop or something.
Technically I did receive what I was paying for, but I found that shady. And no, I didn't place my own ads.

Yup, in Thailand my family and I took a taxi back to the hotel after going out for dinner and when we arrived back we gave them the money but since it was dark we thought we were giving them 1000 baht but we actually gave them 10,000 (yes they have 10,000 baht notes) and they obviously knew it was more than what we agreed on but they drove off anyway and we didn't discover that we had given them the wrong note until the next morning.
Not sure if that counts as a scam but it was bloody annoying.
Also, when I was in Primary School, I ordered a Yu-Gi-Oh card tin off of ebay for (I think) $30 and when it arrived I discovered that it was literally just the tin, no cards inside or anything... Just the tin..

I bought some Ram for my computer off of ebay since it needed a upgrade, so when i installed it along side with the other ram it didn't show up. I got a little bit concerned, so I contacted the company who I bought the ram from and they told me that the ram was defective and told me to send it back and that they will return my money back within a few business days. The next day I sent the package pack back and I was told that I will get my money back in 5-7 days. Waited 9 days and contacted the company. Didn't get a reply or my money back. Lesson learned... Never use ebay, guys

I recently got scammed by a real estate broker, that bitch gave me a number which suppose to be owned by a person who rents the room but no one answered the call when I was suppose to meet that person(she faked a conversation with a client right in front of me), well atleast she gave me a list of numbers and I found some legitimate people. The thing is that she posted a fake ad on a site (which seemed too good to be true) to attract customers and I fell for it. Yeah I guess It's a lesson for me. Real life is a bitter experience :(.
