Giant flashing pictures of Mel Gibson, maybe? :P

Anyways, just ignore any of the warnings from Chrome for the site, it is because of some of the ads that the ad provider chooses. Most ad services don't give much control to the site host and sometimes supply ads people don't like or it reports as malware.

Actually, you're misleading people here. Many, many ad sites try and install malware ranging from tracking cookies up to and including trojans and even rootkits. A bunch also try XSS attacks or php injection. Best is to always use an addon such as NoScript and block all domains / elements you don't specifically permit, aside from any AV you might have running.

As for the OP's post, google giving out malware warnings for this domain is very weird indeed.

I was referring to people that don't choose 'g00daddsurvice' as their main ad supplier for their site. Mostly sites that are reputable. I didn't say there aren't ones that are deceptive, just that they don't give control over choice, of course the ones on here aren't the type you mention. I only said to ignore the warning on Steamgifts or sites they know are trustworthy. :P

1) Many people nowadays go to streaming sites etc, where ads are the main source of revenue. They often even embed ads within ads. Basically, there's more people, with less PC literacy, going to more and more "disreputable" sites.
2) Whether a site is "reputable" or not, if the ad server they're using fucks up, an ad might come into rotation that features some malware. Whatever site you're using, they're dependant on the ad server screening their members' ads, which hardly ever happens properly.

They should make sure they have a nice anti-virus and ad-block set up if they are in the fashion of downloading questionable content and visiting sites that may have questionable legality on content. Anyways, I like to think of the internet as many other activities; you can do them, but you need to know a little bit about what to do, and what not to do when you're partaking in the activities.
